I don't remember exactly how the movie rating system worked back in 1964 (were movies rated A, B and C back then?), ... but I do seem to remember that this movie was rated at a high enough level that I wasn't supposed to be seeing it as a 9 year old. I did end up sneaking into the theater though. Felt guilty about it for a long time. And on top of that, the movie scared the heck out of me! I didn't forget it for a very long time. I'm not sure how I'll react to it 50+ years later (man, if that doesn't make me feel old). But it's a slam dunk purchase for me.

SAE. And as of 9:38 pm on release day....my account with them STILL says pending, meaning they haven't even processed payment yet.

Is this normal???

Why are you being such a BUTT towards me? have I offended you in some way? All I have said is that I haven't received a shipping notice. I am use to ordering with Amazon and I usually receive my order ON day of release. So this is a NEW EXPERIENCE for me.

I certainly don't need your snarky attitude.

In a word, yes. It usually takes a day or two for them to get their allocation of the stock from Cinram (the manufacturer of TT discs), whereas those who order from the TT site get it directly from Cinram; this is why those who ordered from TT have started to receive shipping notifications. Realistically speaking, depending on the size of your order, you may receive yours by the end of this week or maybe the beginning of next week if you've ordered a bunch (just as a point of reference, I ordered five titles this time around, and I figure I'll probably get them Monday or Tuesday of next week).

And FYI, SAE is a small, "mom-and-pop" operation with very few employees, so if you're expecting "Amazon Prime-level service", well...that's just not going to happen. Even though it's a little longer wait than ordering directly from TT, I prefer ordering from SAE simply because when you order 3 or more titles, they come bubble-wrapped and in a box to protect them better than a simple bubble-mailer, and I can wait an extra day or few for that level of care, especially when I'm springing $30 a pop for these discs.

That's awesome. Just checked mine, still showing pending. And I have plenty of money in my account, so I know that isn't a problem.

How many and which titles did you order? Your order with be held until all items are available and the new titles tend to come in one by one. So, if you ordered all of this month's releases it could be a several more days before your order ships.

Edit: Based on previous posts it appears the following titles have started to ship.

9 to 5
Eye of the Needle
From Noon to Three
Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

Because you keep posting over and over again that you haven't received your shipping notice. I actually responded to one of your posts a few days ago answering your questions and pointing out how ordering from Twilight Time usually works, yet you keep posting all this drama in two threads just because your movie hasn't shipped yet.

I would like to introduce you to a wonderful device called the SCROLL KNOB on your mouse. Whenever you visit a public forum, you are bound to see some posts that will annoy you from time to time. It's kinda like dealing with the public.

So, whenever you actually come across a post that annoys you (like mine did, or like this one is sure to), you simply let your finger gently slide across that knob and guess what? The screen will scroll right PAST that annoying little post that annoys you.

That way, you wont see the offending little post anymore, AND the person who posted it wont get offended by your snarky attitude.

See? It's a win/win situation.

Have a nice day!

Or, you can use the "Ignore" button to block that person's post from ever showing on your screen. That could be used to. And no-one would argue, because they might not even know that the certain post/s even existed!

Also, has there been any more news of Twilight Time getting the Jackie Chan's Sony owned films? (Snake in the Eagle's Shadow, Drunken Master)

I really see no need to be insulting in here. I have not been rude to you or called you any names. You insulted me first by calling me a NOOB and telling me to chill out, but the post that initiated your response was a very mild and short post simply stating a fact and declaring it's very sad. There was nothing to 'chill out' about, I wasn't ranting or being offensive to anyone. Your response was uncalled for and rude.

I asked why you were being a butt to me and you accuse me of posting all this drama. By my quote above, I really don't see any "DRAMA" that you speak of. Again, it's not like I'm ranting, being rude, or creating any kind of scene. You are making a scene out of something very simple.

So my response to you is a friendly suggestion on how to keep on scrolling and not let my post bother you.

But your response dives once again into insulting and name-calling rudeness.

You apparently don't respond to polite hints, so I will be more direct with you.

You sir......are an a$$.

No?

And to elaborate... you've posted multiple times in two threads kvetching about how your item hasn't shipped yet, despite the fact that you have been informed previously about how the process normally works when it comes to items shipping from Twilight Time and/or Screen Archives. I called you a noob because you were acting like one. Yet you respond by calling me a butt and an ass, you could have always scrolled past MY posts if they annoyed you.

One might wonder why, if Fox was proud enough of them to call them "Studio Classics", why would they license any of them out instead of releasing them all themselves (rhetorical question)?
Indeed, I think I own 7 of them on blu-ray. And have a few of the DVDs also.

And they should have included others in the series, like "Laura" which was released, but perhpas not under that banner.

I am officially offering you my apologies for any offensive posts. I do not want to break any rules here and risk getting banned or suspended.

It simply isn't worth it. So I am sorry for any offense and I will no longer post in this thread since it seems to annoy you.

Have a nice day.
