It was never given a specific LQA except for a general comment that the 7 for $70 titles are moving fast and some are close to selling out. I believe the only specific mention was for the few remaining copies mentioned above. I suspect that LIAMST moved rapidly, and deservedly so. It is a fantastic, beautifully shot, and moving film deserving of a sellout at full price. TT is very good about issuing alerts so it probably moved faster than they were able to get a quantity update from SAE.

This has been the only title that sold out before getting on the low quantity list. A few years ago Steel Magnolias disappeared over a weekend when SAE sent out a surprise last minute announcement that only a few hundred remained. They were gone within a few days after.

I will update the first post when I get home from work. Not going to attempt it using my iPhone.

Cool. And I wasn't blaming you for not putting it on alert, I was just really surprised to see it sell out like that. You do a great job keeping everything here updated.

Thanks. This gave me the push I needed to finally order. Just in time by the looks of it. A total blind-buy, but I am very interested in CinemaScope cinematography and the review here is excellent. Also added Bonjour Tristesse; another Scope film which I have seen and looks great on BD. Very pleased to pick up both of these titles for $14.95 each.

Thanks. Didn't see your post before I left for work. Super-glad I ordered as soon as I got there!

Over at the HTF thread a TT Insider again confirmed that there will be no more reissues of past blu-rays after The Train but added that they are planning a few releases of past titles that they only released as DVDs once their new 4k restorations become available. They also stated that a 4k transfer of "My Cousin Rachel" is in progress. That leaves us with the following list to speculate from:

The Kremlin Letter
Woman Obsessed
The Flim-Flam Man
My Cousin Rachel (Probable)
Stagecoach (Waiting on new transfer)
The Left Hand of God

I'm hoping for The Flim-Flam Man and The Left Hand of God.

I can't see them rushing to release The Kremlin Letter or Woman Obsessed, seeing as those two DVDs are still available over five years later.

I sort of hope that they don't upgrade The Kremlin Letter. I'd probably feel compelled to get it as a John Huston completist, but it's a nasty, unpleasant film and not one of his best. I'd be down for My Cousin Rachel, though.

I would definitely be in for a blu-ray of The Flim-Flam Man.

I remember reading a while back either here or on Facebook that they had no intention to release the Kremlin Letter on blu as it was such a poor seller on DVD. Of course, the catch-22 is that most people have probably avoided buying the DVD because they're waiting for a blu-ray upgrade. In any event, there is a French region-free release of The Kremlin Letter.

Does Twilight Time have the rights to Panic Room? Someone in another thread said they do. If Twilight Time does have the rights and puts out a quality release, this would sell out instantly. I would buy this day one, no question.

I think even if they bump it up to 5,000 units, it sells out in a hurry. I'm pre-ordering day one when that time comes.

Twilight Time said they were trying to get it at one point. That's all we know, I am pretty sure. People saying it is coming from TT are assuming they were successful.

I am more hoping for an Indicator release of Panic Room.

They are waiting for Sony to finish a 4k remaster.

Sure, but I finally bought a copy of each of them as part of one of my 7-for-70 bundles, so they are bound to be upgraded quickly.

Besides, they upgrade Violent Saturday to Blu, and that title's DVD edition is also still available.

I ordered Love is a Many Splendored Thing after seeing the late low quantity alert a couple of days ago. (Thanks to q-BUZZ-p for the heads up). I already have it in my hand. Wow, nothing wrong with Twilight Time's shipping speed on this one. Kudos to TT.
