Yeah, September was so crazy I literally had like $700 worth of stuff I wanted. Insanity. I will definitely take a slower Spring without a complaint.

Not surprising they're releasing 4 titles per month. The studios aren't mastering films fast enough to keep up with 5 titles a month and some of the transfers aren't up to standard

I don't mind the slow down of releases as long as it's not too slow. There's still so many movies I want to get and upgrade in HD. This will help curb my blind buying and "maybe" purchases which I definitely need to do.

Any chance of getting "Breakout (1975)" on blu-ray from Twilight Time,or is this with Mill Creek?
Also wish they could answer my request for "Heroes Of Telemark (1965)". Would love to see it on blu-ray someday!

yes, as long as they don't release titles which really need better masters. Kino releases everything it seems regardless of the quality of the master

With TT cutting back I might have to wait longer for Panic Room, Alien Nation, and Screamers. On the other hand, maybe Powerhouse Films will end up releasing them first.

Either way, someone needs to make a deal to release some of the earlier Dreamworks releases.
Has TT confirmed they have Screamers? If so, I should probably sell off the rare original DVD release with the widescreen version before its value plummets into nothing.

No, Screamers hasn't been officially confirmed although they were looking into it at one point.

In for Chilly Scenes of Winter and Kiss of Death if it substantially improved on the UK disc which looks quite nice.

Regarding CHILLY, I hope that the original theatrical version (under the title HEAD OVER HEELS) will be included, possibly via seamless branching.

If that isn't possible, I'd like to see the original ending presented as a supplement. No spoilers, but the original ending is thematically different from the subsequent CHILLY edition of the film.
Fans of The Big Heat will note that Gloria Grahame has a key role in Chilly Scenes of Winter. I saw it years ago, but I don't know which version I saw. I liked it, though. Just not sure it's something I need to own.

So right. I just can't seem to catch up with Criterion, Twilight Time, Kino (especially with its various sub-imprints), and Olive. Not to mention Cinema Guild, Cohen, Drafthouse, Film Movement, Flicker Alley, and Oscilloscope. Thank God I'm only interested in a few select titles from Arrow and Shout Factory.

It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in trying to keep up with all the titles coming out (from TT as well as other companies). I like to display all my Blu-rays and am up against the wall right now (literally ... haha) trying to figure out where or how I'm going to store everything I'm buying. I've even cut back on titles I really want because I have hundreds of titles I haven't watched yet ... which really hurts. I feel like I won't have time to watch everything I own now before I die.

All that being said, I still want more. I love blind buying and discovering new gems. I've grown to trust TT, to a certain extent, on the little known titles they release.

I'm not familiar with most of the titles announced today ... which makes it fun to do some research and find out what they're all about. At first glance, I think I'm most excited to see the Stooge shorts. Who would have ever expected to see that! Way to go TT! (Vincent Price and Woody Allen are always very nice to see too).

You have hundreds of titles that you haven't watched?? I don't feel so bad being just 8 movies behind I really try not to purchase many movies if I'm behind watching them unless something comes out that's in danger of selling out quickly.

Although I'm a film fanatic, I don't actually own that many movies. But I'm dying for a proper release of "Who'll Stop the Rain."

For me it's Aqualung. I really should hop on that one. And Stand Up coming soon, which I'm looking forward to.

(Passion Play was their last album I was really wild about, so still dragging on War Child/Minstrel/Too Old... probably should at least get War Child too).

What are you talking about? Shemp was a stooge, one of the originals in fact and neither of these films were the ones that used "fake" Shemps following his death.

Shemp might have been a founding Stooge, but for most people (at least I had assumed this until reading your post), the Three Stooges were, are, and always will be Larry, Moe, and Curly, the lineup of their classic period. Those of us who grew up in the Boston area fondly recall the Three Stooges New Year's Eve marathons on TV38, which were always advertised as 'No Shemps!'. (For the record, I'm not complaining about these 3-D shorts, which should be a fun addition.)

Yup, I do. (I've seen many of them before ... but maybe not the Blu-ray of them).

Shemp was a reluctant Stooge. If it weren't for the tragic strokes Curly had Shemp never would have done any skits. Funny, but both Moe and Curly thought their brother Shemp had the most natural talent. I've only seen it twice but that one episode which had both Curly and Shemp in it always will be a fond memory for me. Even though Curly was in bad shape seeing his face on that bat is a classic (and only "4 Stooges" episode).

I've always liked Shemp...he's an underrated Stooge. He's like the Jaws 2 Stooge, Joe Besser is the Jaws 3D Stooge, and Curly-Joe DeRita is the Jaws: The Revenge Stooge.

Plus, without him we wouldn't have the "Fake Shemp" listing in the end credits of various Sam Raimi movies.
