Can't wait to hear how big a box and how well the movies were packed when this behemoth arrives

Must be some sort of glitch on their site. This movie will sell out but it will take some time so you're safe methinks.

Just preordered 3 WORLDS OF GULLIVER, so whatever prevented my earlier attempt has apparently been fixed.

Seriously! How about including a Harryhausen commentary track instead? I know he did new ones for the majority of his movies before he passed. Not sure if The 3 Worlds of Gulliver was one of them.

There's got to be some reason. I think the Foundation owns them. High licensing fees is all that comes to mind.

Is there anyway to listen to them? It would be nice if the Foundation (or who ever owns the commentaries) to make them available through streaming or even on a CD. Harryhausen fans would be willing to pay to listen to them and play the commentary played alongside the movie.

I know some commentaries by Ray are on YouTube but I'm guessing they're the original ones he's done. I might be wrong, though.

According to the cart trick at SAE, The Other is now under 50 remaining copies. If you want it and don't have it, I would jump on that asap

I second that assertion. The Other gets the short shrift compared to the Omen and Exorcist films, but it deserves to be more widely known.

Yeah, especially cause it's far better than the Omen movies.

They should post such shipping delays on the site. Over 10 days just to ship isn't realistic.

I haven't contacted them as I'm aware of the situation and can be patient given the deal, but they wouldn't be wasting lost time with stupid emails if they just posted, if you buy these products your order could take 3-4 weeks to ship. And over a month to arrive.

Speaking as somebody who has limited experience selling DVDs and Blu-rays, just whatever I've done on ebay, I can assure you that such a warning has absolutely no impact on whether or not people complain. You can argue that it would make the complaints even less justifiable than they already are, but that doesn't stop people from sending complaining/"I'm just asking" E-mails.

Just posted 10 minutes ago on their Facebook that The Other is the latest film to sell out! Great movie, picked it up when it was originally released and have watched it a few times over the last couple of years!

Okay, this may sound like I'm making a bit of a straw man argument here, but let's say they did post on their website that orders may take 3-4 weeks to ship. And let's just say they got so overwhelmed, they went into a fifth week. You don't think they'd still get people complaining about that? They've indicated why there's a delay and yet people still aren't happy. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

You know, people are so high and mighty on here, admonishing them for the way they do business, yet nobody here really has any idea how they do business. We know they are a small outfit, but we don't know the extent. Maybe they have limited means to hire more staff because doing so would put them out of business. Who knows.

The funny thing is, this happens whenever there is a big sale and / or popular titles go up for pre-order. I've seen people complain about the same thing many, many times. And if you scroll back through this thread, everyone's all giddy about the sale until, uh-oh, shipments are being held up so now everyone starts pissing and moaning. Okay, so maybe some newbies are not aware of this happening before, but c'mon people who have been posting on this board for a while, you know and I know that whenever there's a sale there's always major delays.

And for those of you who live in the USA, count yourselves lucky. At least when your shipment is out the door you'll be getting it in a matter of days. Us international customers still have to wait extra weeks for the items to arrive, sometimes with the added joy of holds-ups / extra charges at Customs.

I'm not saying people don't have a right to be annoyed or anxious at having to wait for so long, but man do people love to add a healthy dollop of drama on top.

People are always going to complain on the internet. That's why it exists for the most part, I think. I have sold stuff on ebay and had people literally message me 12 hours after an auction ended asking for a tracking number. People are weird and super impatient. They want every store and seller to be Amazon Prime, but the world don't work that way.

I would tell people who are angry over the long wait to receive their orders to just hold on, as when SAE does finally ship your order you will receive an exceptionally well-packed and protected parcel. Matter of fact today I received my 2nd order from this SAE sale and as I walked in my front door, my dry hands accidentally dropped the box down onto a ceramic tile floor. And the movies and cases were all fine, all completely wrapped in bubble wrap inside a box. This is how SAE has always packed my orders.

I understand the frustration in waiting but it's worth it. You wanted the movies badly enough to order them. Just wait it out and you will get them. And have some very good, if not great movies to watch and own.

Just a fyi to all, I placed my first order on 11/18:

1984
Jane Eyre
Rapture
All The King's Men

And received notification it shipped first class 11/29.

Second order placed on 11/22 has not yet shipped, but again, I'm not at all worried. As has been previously mentioned, they're a smaller company, and as busy as we know they have been of late, I'm completely fine with waiting. Even with shipping, I'm paying about $55 for movies that would normally cost double that (without shipping being added in). That kind of deal, and product quality, I am more than willing to wait as long as it takes.

SAE and TT aren't Amazon, guys. Understand their processing limitations when they are getting this many orders. And, enjoy the films when they get to you.

I certainly have no shortage of other movies to watch in the mean time.
