There is nothing weird about the pre authorization process.
That has been standard operating procedure for most online businesses for several years now. It's already been explained to you very well, by another member already. Add this to that : It's a guarantee that they will be paid, no matter what you financial situation is. Nothing weird about that. Not charging a customer until their order ships...damn sure nothing weird about that either. |

There is nothing ridiculous about not paying in advance. What's ridiculous is sending a preauth through for the exact amount of the order, removing it, and then trying to charge the exact same amount two weeks later. Every time I have ordered something online before this, with every other company, when the preauthorization is put on, the card is charged within a day or two, not two weeks later. Are you trolling? Have you ever ordered anything from any other company besides SAE?

Amazon does this on preorders. Various wine stores do not charge until shipping. I've had clothing stores not charge until the order was shipped. As the other user said, this is SOP across the industry to not charge until shipment, but to preauthorize to make sure the funding source is valid. |

"At the end of the day, the merchant instructs the credit card machine to submit the finalized transactions to the acquirer in a "batch transfer," which begins the settlement process, where the funds are transferred from the customer's accounts to the merchant's accounts. This process is not instantaneous: the transaction may not appear on the customer's statement or online account activity for one to two days, and it can take up to three days for funds to be deposited in the merchant's account. The money will be refunded in full if the hold is allowed to expire before the settlement occurs." Again, it's been more than 3 days, and I've NEVER had an online retailer do a preauth for an exact amount of an order, allow the hold to expire, then try to submit the payment again two weeks later. It has never taken longer than a couple of days for a preauth to turn into a payment for me. Just stop dude, you're fighting a losing battle. |

From Facebook :
Just posted in our TT blu-ray catalogue section: COMES A HORSEMAN (1978). A NOTE ABOUT THE TRANSFER: while Twilight Time believes Comes a Horseman to be a fine, and generally overlooked hidden treasure from the 1970s, and worthy of a second look by Blu-ray aficionados, we recognize it has not survived in the greatest of shape. We hope that those of you who care enough to buy a copy will forgive the unusually high (for a TT release) level of “speckling” (minus density) and general debris that mar the work of master cinematographer, Gordon Willis, in this hi-def presentation. We have rejected many other titles and transfers for similar reasons, but after some consideration decided this film was too important to let go. In light of this fact, we are offering it at a reduced price to encourage those on the fence about it. TT strives always to strike a balance between a duty to preserve the legacy of film history, as well as presenting the very best version of a film in hi-def as possible under the circumstances. |

This is a reference quality transfer of a Harryhausen film (although I will add that "First Men in the Moon" and "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" are also reference quality). I wonder if Ray Harryhausen ever saw "The Three Worlds of Gulliver" look this good? |

SAE are a small outfit. They're not Amazon and they never will be Amazon no matter how many people get on here mad and ranting that they're not exactly like Amazon. |

" And when you come at someone like MikeZ. did, people tend to go on the offensive."
I addressed you the same as I do any other supposedly grown adult male. If you're not a woman, and you're not a child, you shouldn't get so rattled. Sorry I upset your delicate sensibilities. You have now had three other people tell you this SOP. Just because you've never experienced it before, doesn't mean it isn't. |
