Deborah Kerr plays the daughter's rival for her father's affections and turns in another quality performance.

If you enjoy films with David Niven (playing a womanizing cad), Deborah Kerr (playing an adult), mixed in with beautiful scenery and boasting a great transfer, and topped off with some dark, Freudian overtones, then this film should be on your list.
I second your recommendation. Bonjour Tristesse is an excellent film.

Good call, and following the precedence set by the two James Garner "Support Your Local..." films.

Please note also that the April release date is the 18th and not the 11th - plus THE BOUNTY and RICHARD III have SOLD OUT.

Wow! that was fast and responsible! But of course I have to ask, is that image from the right film? It looks awfully similar

Definitely the correct movie... you can tell by the straps on Rita's dress.

Thank you! Much better, and you even chose a nicer image of Hayworth and Astaire than the one used on the poster and DVD cover.

I hope a future release of "You Were Never Lovelier" uses the image you had on the cover before the revision. That one is perfect for that film.

Thanks again.

I haven't.

My affinity for Twilight Time grows and grows. Great movie selections, high quality releases, fast service, and they're very responsive to their clientele.....what's not to love?

I just watched A Man For All Seasons over the weekend, and was stunned by how gorgeous to picture looked on a fifty year old film.

For sh__s and giggles, I looked through the catalog that comes as an extra on the disc. Why, oh why, didn't I get into buying blu-rays sooner? So many films in there that are now OOP I want: Bell, Book and Candle, As Good as it Gets, Leave Her to Heaven, Wild at Heart (thankfully, I found a great deal on the region B import)...

I've been able to add 28 of their releases in the last ten months, and once I get back to work here in the late summer, I'll be adding many more.

Thank you guys for all you do. It's easy to take things for granted as a consumer. But I know there are a lot of fantastic films that would probably never see a blu-ray release if not for TT. They have won a long term supporter here.

I'm just gonna let this one fly by today because they hopped on that cover art issue lickity-split.

I was going to purchase some releases during the sale but I can't find Moby Dick even when I search for it (only the DVD pops up), my email shows it on sale for $19.95. Any ideas?

I ordered it from SAE a few weeks ago but it doesn't appear to be there anymore. Still available directly from Twilight Time.

Maybe Screen Archives is out of stock, but it still comes up if you look for it at https://www.twilighttimemovies.com/

Between some low quantity alerts and the March Madness sale, decided to pick up a few titles:

Bonjour Tristesse
Broadway Danny Rose
Lilies of the Field
Stardust Memories
The Train

I think the first time they dipped their toes into sale waters, it was "everything older than 6 months is $10 off", but as they have expanded the sale prices, they also added more limits to the titles they apply to.

I do think it's likely that any title that doesn't sell out within a few months will *eventually* go on sale, but not necessarily all at the same time.

I think it's also likely that their deal with MGM is close to wrapping up.

The impending sell-out of Moby Dick is evidence enough that picking up a title at full price is still the best option for all must-haves. I like a bargain as much as anyone, but I've never understood the idea that a film one really wants is worth it at $20, but not at $30. Too much of a risk, even with the frequent sales.

I saw Lilies of the Field was out at SAE, so I finally went ahead and ordered it from TT figuring it would be getting low soon.

I also grabbed Birdman of Alcatraz, because I think they did a low quantity alert on it a week or so ago.

And, I grabbed the Support Your Local Sheriff two pack, just because it was a great price.
