I'm looking forward to seeing The Valachi Papers in HD, and I'm surprised 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag is getting a blu-ray release. I thought I would be holding onto the DVD forever.

I tried to pre-order a blu-ray on Twilights/Screenarchives homepage but I couldn´t log in to my account. I always got the information:

404-File or Directory not found

Anybody else who also has that problem?

Try clearing your browser cache or use a different browser. I've seen this behavior before.

I just ordered the Jackie Chan double feature on Chrome App via smart phone and had no troubles.

Maybe try a different browser or compatibility mode settings.

As much as I've been anticipating this release, I gotta ask before I lay down thirty bucks. Does anyone know how much of an improvement The Valachi Papers blu-ray will be over the Sony DVD? What kind of master was utilized?

I just had a look at my last order from screenarchives and noticed it was... November 2015. Before that I was buying their titles almost every month and owns as of today around 120 of them.

The fact that they decided to destroy the "Limited Edition Series" concept by reissuing previously released - and sold out titles - seems to have had a serious impact for the collector inside of me

I have no regret building a small collection of their titles and still cherish proudly my bluray copy of Journey to the Centre of the Earth, my favourite film. It was also nice trying to order at 03:59 pm hoping to get an autographed copy.

But well, now that other labels started to release the same titles with extras for 1/2 the price, the heavily discounted titles after a few months and the "treason" on the limited edition thing made them lose me as a consumer.

And I would like to give a big thank you for oildude for all his work on the first post, it was very useful.

To each their own if they want to buy or not from TT. You have valid reasons for why you're doing what you're doing. If you can wait on releases then that's cool. As for me I'm more of "I want the movie now" and am happy to continue my purchasing from TT mostly because I think they do an excellent job with their releases. I don't have any really significant issue with reissues so that won't stop me from buying. One thing I won't do is miss out on any release just to boycott a company. I love movies way too much to cut off my nose to spite my face
