I would encourage everyone whom buys Twilight Time movies that if you buy them you go through through Twilight Time directly and not SAE .
Not only will you get your movies faster via Twilight Time , They pack the items better and also SAE has one of it's workers whom is the worst and rudest this lady has never been kind at all .
I really wish I could speak to the owner of SAE and alert them to this workers bad attitude and her bad attitude and lack of respect for their customers .
I think if this worker stopped her bad ways SAE would be much better than they are however this lady represents SAE whom sells Twilight Time products and this makes it a bad reflection honestly of both companies .

It is a shame as I am a Huge fan of Twilight Time movies but I am becoming more doubtful I will continue buying if these companies do not know how to weed out it's bad employees and only have friendly and professional people work for them whom represent their company well .

Every order I have received from Screen Archives has been well packaged and the shipping rates are cheaper for shipments sent to Canada. I have never had any issues with rudeness with their customer service people, though I have read posts of people who have, yet we also had a situation reported on the Twilight Time sales thread of an employee from THAT company being rude to a customer and being reprimanded for it. I cannot stomach rudeness to paying customers at all, but there are always two sides to every story.

You can add me to the list of people who've had problems with SAE, though in my case it was a male employee. I'd been a regular soundtrack customer since the turn of this century but around the time their website started regularly crashing when you tried to checkout (I'm sure many on this thread will remember how often that was when the first Twilight Time pre-orders came up) I was brusquely informed that I must be lying because nobody else had ever, ever had that problem (again, I'm sure many will remember how often that very problem was raised in the early days of this thread) and that they were now too big a company to deal with this sort of thing and they didn't need my business anymore (yes, they did actually use those words). So since then, even though they've now sorted out their server problems, I've only ordered from them twice, and then as a last resort (those limited edition Scorpion releases no-one else had at the time). Which is a shame because once upon a time they had great customer service.

Is there an approximation of when the next sale could be?

I really want to buy Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex... and Another Woman, but paying $30 for each title is a bit painful.

There's no real pattern to when they have sales these days, but they seem to have them quite often nowadays so who knows. Maybe another one in the fall just in time for Christmas shopping season like last year?

I don't know. SAE packs the discs well, and I've had absolutely no problem dealing with them. No issue with lost packages, etc, so I haven't contacted their customer service for quite a while.

Besides, they sell BDs & DVDs from other labels (as well as, of course, CDs), so I prefer ordering from them. Actually, I've been an avid soundtrack collector, so I've used them long before they started carrying the TT discs, though.

Never had a single issue with SAE. Great company to do business with. I place my order, they ship my items (always very well packed), and we're done.

Frankly, many of the service complaints I read on this site (not just this thread) seem to stem from unrealistic customer demands/expectations.

Got a notice from Screen Archives that they are waiting for their Cat Ballou's to show up from Twilight Time, so if you ordered it from Screen Archives and you haven't received your shipment yet they aren't getting them in until next week.

Well, yeah. I mean how many times does SAE have a sale on Twilight Time items and despite people warning other members that things get slow whenever there's a sale, we still see posts from overly anxious people fretting and fussing that their order hasn't shipped yet? And if a small company has to field a multitude of calls from people like that throughout the day, forcing them to take time away from doing the actual packaging, well no wonder tempers get short.

A very unfair statement . You had great experiences . Great for you .
Just because you have that does not mean I or others have not had bad experiences with them . As far as demands / expectations you say .
To be honest everyone should always have high demands & high standards all the time !
Sounds like you are unfairly judging people without knowing their facts of what exactly has happened to them .

I do not ask a lot of them or any other company other than .

Ship within reason
Package all contents safe & securely
And finally when I do communicate with anyone whom represents the company you be respectful and you also do not make tons of excuses all the time .

Black Friday will probably be the next major sale. Unless they have little ones before. It seems like they have been having a new promotion every month lately.

A Yep
I agree. I've always had great service with SAE. They pack every order with care and make sure they prevent damage during shipping. THey also ship pretty quickly.

Another company I have gotten awesome service from, Ronin Flix. Super fast and free shipping.

Yes, a lot of us have had great experiences with them. Just because you have had a bad experience with them, doesn't mean we should all start taking our business elsewhere like you requested, particularly as we do not know the circumstances of what you were talking about.

Can you please leave these announcements to the thread owner OilDude? All of these updates are for the Twilight Time site only and it can (and has) led to confusion for people who might assume that it refers to overall copies.

Except my issue wasn't about shipping: it was about the site constantly crashing when trying to place or pay for an order, which was a problem both before and after they used Amazon's servers for many on this site whenever TT or other limited editions went live.

The comment of mine that you quoted and responded to was a general comment about how many people fret when there are shipping delays during sales, it had nothing to do with your particular issue.

Oh, I get that - and you're right, it must be maddening to deal with (look at Mr. Lime's posts on the Kino announcement thread every time the subject is raised even though there's another thread for it) - and growing up in the pre-internet 'allow 28 days for delivery' era of mail order I don't expect things to arrive yesterday, but it's not the only source of customer problems, though it may be that frustration from those kind of problems from other customers spilled over into the needlessly aggressive way my problem was handled (or rather wasn't). But at the end of the day there are now other options for TT titles and most of the other LE CDs and BDs they used to be the first stop for, so it's not the end of days in the global scheme of things.

I've never had a problem with SAE except maybe a couple of times where it felt like it was taking a little long after the release date to get some Twilight Time title that I had pre-ordered. I've had way more problems with Amazon.
