I hope they have a sale soon. But, if they are on a hiatus and have hopes of rebooting, then I don't see much motivation on their end, to be in a hurry to clear stock with deep discounts, since there are no new titles coming in.

Anyone who wants Fox films should bite the bullet since who knows whether Disney will make them unavailable. I've been working over the last few months to prioritize Fox owned films and will be using the Holidays to pick some of them up from some of the overseas labels.

Off-topic, but, for region-locked folks that want to acquire some more Fox titles that are OOP in the US or not available in the US at all there are certain Eureka releases that will work on any US player with the "top menu" trick. This includes titles such as "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte", "Journey to the Center of the Earth", "No Way Out", and "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". The "Pickup on South Street" disc that included on the "Fuller at Fox" set might work as well but I'd need someone with that disc to confirm.

The motivation would be that less remaining stock = lower cost to store remaining stock.

Is there a list of titles, or a way to know which Eureka titles will play in a Region A player? I'm very interested in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn ... didn't even realize it was on blu-ray anywhere. I visited Eureka's website and saw that there is a "2 for £25" sale going on, with A Tree... being one of the eligible titles. Just trying to find out which other eligible titles I can consider to take advantage of the sale. (Maybe send me an answer in a Private Message so as not to keep going off-topic in here). |

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=456 The way to tell if they will play is if Luke Louca encoded the discs (able to check in the booklet). For reasons I’m not sure of, his discs will work in any player with the “top menu” trick (I’ve tested some releases on four non-Panasonic players and they worked every time). There might be more non-MoC releases that could work such as “Born Free”, “Inherit the Wind”, and “The Party” but I need people with discs to confirm as those don’t include booklets with disc credits. |

![]() I'll read up on your "trick". I still use an old Pioneer blu-ray player. It's a dinosaur, but it's solidly built and works great 98% of the time. I've been able to play Region B blu-rays on it before, but I shy away from making it a habit to buy them ... it's a real rarity for me. But A Tree Grows in Brooklyn holds a special place in my heart and isn't available in Region A (yet), so I'll give it a shot. Thank you very much for your help. (Back on-topic again). |

Just started adding things to my cart. It didn't take long before I had $400 worth of blu rays in my cart. Need to trim that down to about $100. Should I just focus on the lower priced items and hope that the higher priced items come down later, or should I just grab the few items that I really want now? Decisions, decisions.
Anyway, folks expecting a fire sale are going to be disappointed. edit: On the other hand, an optimist might infer from these prices that Twilight Time plans on being in business for a while. Last edited by belcherman; 11-27-2019 at 01:47 PM. |

Just to point it out, "Kiss of Death" has been expected to sell out at every sale for at least the last year and a half. We should start a pool for when/if it ever actually does sell out. |
