Universal actually has a very active MOD department so that raises the chances of a re-release significantly.

In addition to that, they have a very active licensing profile: Criterion, Kino, Arrow, Eureka, Indicator...

At the very least, the following Fox titles were allegedly in the pipeline: Alien Nation (1988), Fallen Angel (1945), and Gorilla at Large (1954) (seriously).

They had even officially announced both Centennial Summer (1946) and The Iron Horse (1924), but had to withdraw the announcements. The former had some underlying rights issue that couldn't be cleared, and the latter was waiting on a restoration that was delayed because of the Disney buy-out.

Somewhere, probably in an interview by Nick, it was mentioned that they tried to get The Paper Chase (1973), but Fox told them it was spoken for elsewhere. Still don't know who that would be, but my bet would be Criterion; anyone else probably would've released it by now.

The Paper Chase was officially announced to be released in April 2019 but was pulled and Three Coins in the Fountain was released instead. I would assume that it's probably Criterion who have it as well.

Sad to hear about Twilight Time shutting down. I don't own any of their releases but they were my go to website for clear cases. I did head over to Screen Archives and ordered myself a copy of Strange Invaders.

Fortunately, by the time I started buying TT releases, most of the titles that were already OOP were ones I didn't want, or didn't mind not having (mostly, latter-day horror titles). The one I was willing to spend extra on by buying it from an Amazon Marketplace seller was The Big Heat, as it was the only one that wasn't priced beyond the limit I set for myself. And then, of course, TT releases an Encore Edition of it. It's what it is.

There are 29 OOP titles that I never got, and most of them I don't care about, or have gotten other editions in the meantime, or can get other editions when I feel the need.

The One That Got Away that I really would've liked to get is The Egyptian. Which has some European releases, but someone here (Aclea, I believe) said weren't especially good transfers. Still, it's a Fox title that probably won't see another physical release.

Yes, that was the Eureka set, not the Indicator. I was thinking of the Ford Indicator set and mistakenly said Indicator.

That was understandable, since both companies did a Fuller set. It's just that the Eureka one was a Fox set, and the Indicator one was a Columbia set.

They are not OOS, just SAE search engine has been screwy for 6 months or more though it actual works -- type the words (or better a main word not the whole title), hit search and don't touch the dropdown menu. Seven-Ups only works with the hyphen

Better just filter TT by studio and organize alphabetically though occasional "The" messing them up, but not all

I suspect the Sony titles were priced higher because TT didn't get as good a licensing deal with Sony from the outset as they had with Fox at the time.

Agreed. I held off on buying the UK Otto Preminger Film Noir Collection when it was announced that TT was releasing them over here. They released Where the Sidewalk Ends & Whirlpool but...

I could be wrong, but this seems to have become the "mythical" TT release. I came to the label way too late to buy it, and look for a copy periodically - but have never, ever seen one priced even remotely sensibly. It seems to be mentioned as "the one that got away" more than any other.

The OOP titles I'd most like to have are the two Flint films.

I missed Bell, Book and Candle and Leave Her to Heaven - but thankfully both have had subsequent US releases (I actually bought a Spanish bootleg of the former, thinking it was a legitimate release).

I remember back in the early days of my participation in this thread, around the time I started getting TT releases in 2014. At some point a few months later, someone (name long forgotten; if it's one of the regulars these days, sorry) complained about the fact that the commentaries on the discs were by no-name people.

I think I responded to that by pointing out some of Nick's bona fides, but also noting that The Train had two commentaries. The first was by Frankenheimer, which he had done for the MGM DVD years earlier. The second was by Nick, Julie, and Paul Seydor. I said that I found their commentary far more interesting than Frankenheimer's.
