June and July have been expensive months for TT purchases. I pre-ordered Brannigan, Radio Days, Violent Saturday and Born Yesterday for July. August I will take a break, it looks like Man Hunt will be the only TT pre-order.

I think the recent batch of The Train, The Mechanic, Heaven Knows Mr. Allison and The Man from Laramie has been my favorite so far with them.

The autographed copies come opened. Unless you were referring to the copy you already own being sealed.

In for:

Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison - Robert Mitchum, Deborah Kerr, directed by Jon Huston ... works for me.
Fate is the Hunter (autographed) - I was interested in this one anyway, so it's extra nice being a freebie.
Fever Pitch - The sports fan in me really wanted this one. I think I'll be able to relate to it.
Crimes and Misdemeanors - Consistently rated highly in various "Best Woody Allen movie polls", so I thought I'd take a chance.
The Train - I was sold on this one after seeing the previews.

I was going to pass on the promo deal this month but the temptation was too great.

I actually went back after my initial order and grabbed Brannigan and Rollerball. I was on the fence about both of these, but I figured no time like the present.

Total = $258.35

This whole financial security thing is overrated.
I'm at the point where I pretty much own all of the Twilight Time Blu-rays that intrigue me enough to purchase them, so this will probably be the biggest order that I ever make.

I too grabbed a few titles along with an autographed Fate, so that makes at least 11 of us in the thread that were able to get an autograph (which might be a new record).

I wonder where the other 89 copies were sold off to?? I think Twilight Time finally figured out that autographed promos are their golden goose.

It's like they have their own money printing machine once a month.

No kidding. I've got the money in my account, so I figured I'd spend it.

I've been enjoying the Twilight Time order that I received earlier this month so much that I'm in that frame of mind.

It looks like Man Hunt will be the only Blu-ray that I order next month, and that's probably a good thing.

What I do find funny is that this title sold out so quickly, when there's been little to no interest in it since it's release.

Heck, the Fate is a Hunter thread doesn't even have a single reply https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=241767

I look at it this way. I'll have many great films to watch in my old age.

I also find it funny. Most people did not realize there was a signed copy promo today.

You can't argue with the appeal of free product... even if you have to spend $100 to get it!

All of my Twilight Time blind buy purchases have been nice surprises.

These generally aren't Best Picture winners or highly-acclaimed masterpieces, and, instead, they're the sort of movies that are great just to chill out to on a Sunday afternoon.

The titles from the supposed lower end of the spectrum from the careers of John Ford or John Huston are still darn entertaining, as are the throwaway drive-in theater offerings.

One upcoming release, The Believers, is a movie that I saw about 20 times back when I was in high school and had a bad dubbed VHS copy. That movie falls perfectly in line with the above logic. It never won any awards, but it's a downright engaging story.

I guess that's why I became quite enthusiastic this month. These all seem to be enjoyable flicks.

I think it's more of a ritual now than actual interest in any particular movie. As someone mentioned above, it looks like a very big portion of the people buying these up each month are the members here. I've been going after almost all of the signed ones just for the hell of it, and because it's free, of course. And the excitement to see if you can get one in time can't be beat. The only one I went after that I failed to get was Journey to the Center of the Earth because the site crashed badly during that promo.

I went in for the free copy as well. I was on the fence on this release, but a free copy was a great incentive. Pre-ordered Brannigan and Violent Saturday, and added Man in the Dark and Bonjour Tristesse to make $100+.

I did actually read that thread a few days ago, and I appreciated the write-up.

I almost bought Fate is the Hunter last month. I'm a big Glenn Ford fan, so I had this one under consideration for a while.

I've only participated in two Twilight Time autographed copy promos, with Used Cars this past month and now Fate is the Hunter. Those were both discs that intrigued me, but not quite enough to jump on for a day one purchase. In the past, I've either already owned the movies or I've simply had no interest.

I figure the free BD reduces the overall price of the other titles in the order, which are usually titles I was going to purchase anyway.
