Come on, it's Jenny Agutter nude! If nothing else, that's worth a viewing for many. Otherwise, I claimed many weeks ago in this TT thread (or maybe it was in the short-lived Equus thread) that film buffs should definitely check out this excellent film as it's dark, cerebral, and will stick with you long after viewing. Powerful stuff.

And of course, an excellent film like Equus will probably never sell out and Twilight Time won't make much profit. So much for TT being all about $$$. Thanks TT, as no one else was going after gems like this.

One of the best films of the 70s.
I do and I was 14 in 1977 and probably would not have appreciated a film like this as much. I was probably in line for Star Wars LOL. Well my copy should be here soon so I can check it out.

It is but at the same time, I was hoping that Sony would release them themselves (which would cause the people who bought the TT release to complain).

Seriously Sony, you released the off the wall Godzilla movies in double features; why can't you release these movies in wide release? They can go in the cheap Wal-Mart bins and people will buy them.

is there a mailing list or anything we can subscribe to to hear about these upcoming pre orders or is bluray.com usually pretty good about showing those news items?

Really looking forward to the rerelease of Christine and probably Fright Night as well.

Well, there's an option at SAE to subscribe to an email newsletter. People seem to have varying degrees of success with it, though.

But all you have to do is read posting #1 in this very thread. It lists the announced forthcoming titles, and tells you when pre-orders for the next month's titles will be starting.

Correct. Pre-orders for any given title are usually on the third Wednesday of the month before release. Since The Blob is being released in October, pre-orders for it will mostly likely start on September 17th.

Should I worry less about waiting to reserve The Blob now that TT increased its units by an extra 2,000?

Sony is releasing those titles themselves at least in the international markets.

As would A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, which I am particularly anxious to own on Blu-ray.

Of course...ultimately...only YOU can decide if 40% less worry still meets the threshold where you would...you know...worry about it.
