I'd wager one of the October titles will be the signed promo in November or December. Probably Vampires, once it sells out. That seems to be the case with TT.

I'm having a hard time researching Count Yorga. I am slowly but surely getting into collecting gothic 60's and 70's horror (used to focus on 80's alone) but the trailer for it looks pretty lame and it seems critically mixed.

Anyone want to throw a few bullet-points Yorga's way?

I personally wouldn't suggest a blind buy, I didn't care for it. You can rent it at Amazon for $2.99 which I think is your best bet. If you like it you can buy with confidence. If you don't like it, you just saved yourself 30 bucks.

An effectively chilling vampire movie with a fun mix of humor, some sex and some real scares (cheesy early 70's style) which was perfect for watching at a drive-in back in the day, Quarry was perfect in this. I'll be picking this one up for sure.

I wasnt into it either, and this is coming from a person who prefers pre 80s films, so Id go with renting it first. I also rented it first and Im glad I did.
Keep in mind everyones tastes are different - but this one didnt grab me, I wasnt into the feel of it .. I preferred Sugar Hill also with Quarry

Yorga is one of my favorite Vampire films. It's totally drenched in the 70's which adds to the fun plus it's also very erotic without becoming porn.

I haven't seen it it years, but I remember being surprised how good it was, especially because of its strange name, Count Yorga!? It had some frightening moments, one I remember being outside in a van, and it is drenched in atmosphere. I have been meaning to revisit it so I'll definitely be grabbing both Blus for Halloween!

If I hadn't gotten the Journey to the Center of the Earth promo a few months back I'd go for the U-Turn one.

Thanks for Yorga thoughts everyone. $3 rental on Amazon seems to be the way to go. I do love 70's style action movies but horror I dunno, most of my 70's horror movies are more gothic in style. I'll let you know what I thought of the rental in the Yorga thread.

Excited for Vampires, Scream and Scream Again and maybe Devil in a Blue Dress though. That last one is a great movie, but I will likely have to put it off for money reasons.

My signed U-Turn has already shipped! I didn't expect that and since I'm away this weekend I'm hoping my catsitter notices and brings it in!

If you get TCM, you might keep a look out for Yorga on there. They show it from time to time, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it played sometime in October.

Cannot believe there is still signed U-Turn copies still available more than 24 hours later. I think it's TT's requirement to buy 5 titles to get the freebee. It's tough to fork over $159 each month to get signed BD's. They need to go back to four.

I agree with this. The only reason I was able to do this is that the last time I ordered was April (has it really been that long?) so I had a lot of desired titles saved up.

I was under the impression the signed U-Turn promotion was for buying an additional 4 Twilight titles. I placed my order for the free U-Turn and 4 additional Twilight titles. The order went through. Will SAE reach out to me or cancel my order? Anyone experience this before?

I imagine it's because a bunch of people already got the Medavoy-signed U Turn.
