Still waiting on Runaway Train to be announced. Should be sometime early 2016.

Those who had it ship ordered from TT. SAE gets their stuff a little later.

I'm just hoping my order of Mysterious Island and First Men in the Moon arrives before Christmas. They're a present for my wife. There aren't a lot of films that we watch together but she likes Harryhausen as much as I do.

I sent them an email this morning basically asking what the heck is going on. I was polite, of course, but my patience is wearing thin. If you can't honor a street date, don't announce one.

Exactly. It has also been proven time and time again that SAE is notorious for sending orders by most recently received and that's just wrong. If I order something for 12/1/15 street date on 10/1/15 I should get it before the guy that ordered it on 11/25/15.

When the next round of TT titles goes live, I'm ordering direct from TT. SAE is slower than molasses. I too ordered Mysterious Island as soon as it went live and it still hasn't shipped.

My understanding is that they are shipped direct for TT by the pressing plant (Cinram??), hence why they would be faster, in any case I received my sales orders today from SAE, I didn't order Mysterious Island, since I have the first pressing.

I've had good luck with SAE, and I usually order other non TT tiles from them at the same time, so I'll keep ordering from them.

I was also gonna order Mysterious Island direct from TT but then SAE ran their reduced prices promotion on certain TT titles and, of course, I bit off on it. This is the first time I've actually experienced a shipping delay with SAE, but as long as Mysterious Island doesn't somehow go out of print in the midst of this shipping delay then I'll deal with it.
Is SAE forced to run these promotions on already released TT titles to keep people from buying new releases straight from TT's website? I wonder how much of SAE's business model relies on TT purchases.

It's not clear from what you wrote whether or not you ordered Mysterious Island along with some sale titles. If you did, you shouldn't have to worry about MI going OOP, as a copy should be allocated for you regardless of what's causing a delay for SAE to get copies in.

I'm not sure what you mean by "these promotions". This is the only one they've done on their own. The two previous "birthday" sales were done in conjunction with TT.

I didn't actually say it but I alluded to the fact that I ordered from SAE instead of TT because of SAE's most recent promotion regarding discounted in stock TT titles. In theory, you are correct that by ordering Mysterious Island there should be a copy "allocated" for me, but go back to The Blob thread--there were plenty of people that ordered it from SAE when it was still in stock and I can remember reading posts from at least one member who didn't get his order fulfilled. The same thing happened to me with Fright Night when I ordered through the TCM shop (but I do realize they're notorious for taking customer orders for TT titles and then cancelling them).

I realize that previous promotions were done in conjunction with TT, but is SAE's most recent promotion (the one that ended on 13 Dec) the first one they've done since TT started their own website or does TT still have a hand in TT-related promotions at SAE? If so, then I apologize--I defer to your supreme knowledge regarding this subject matter.

I can understand the frustration but it seems the delay was out of TT's and SAE's control. It was the pressing plant (Cinram) that had a backlog due to the holiday rush. SAE more than likely just received their copies late this week.

MYSTERIOUS ISLAND will be shipping from both sites by the middle of next week.

However, in the case of HARLOCK: SPACE PIRATE we have decided to delay the blu-ray till January, when it will be available to ship with the other 5 Jan titles. This is not about the crowded holiday schedule, but is more to do with the complexity of the 3D authoring, and the sheer volume of special features, most of which had to be subtitled for our release. It is simply too big a project to rush. HARLOCK will be ready to pre-order again on Wednesday, January 6th. Apologies for any convenience caused. Happy Holidays, everyone!

Did you receive an email or did you log into SAE to check your order status? Thanks!

I haven't received an email message from SAE this week, but I just checked my account, and MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (Encore Edition) has just shipped out today from Virginia. So, it's on the way!

I got Mysterious Island from Twilight Time yesterday. The box could have held several more titles (or some padding).

Today, I received an email from SAE stating that my copy of MYSTERIOUS ISLAND is shipping out of Virginia.

Barring any weather issues and the Christmas rush, I hope to receive it next week before Christmas.

I logged into my account at SAE and it showed the order shipped. Their e-mails usually show up a few hours later.

This is the first sale on TT titles they've done since the March birthday sale. Whether TT still collaborated with SAE on it, I don't know. Probably not, since they didn't post anything about it on Facebook (unless there was an off-hand mention of it in reply to someone).
