Are any new bonus features for Last Blood being done, like a director commentary with Adrian Grunberg? The other movies had director commentaries.

I kinda hope there ends up being poster art slipcovers for each individual title, like the Karate Kid set from Sony. But I believe word was that it'd be a digipak with possibly sleeve inserts if one wanted to move to normal cases.

so yes, sounds like a Digipak with original artwork included.

can't wait for this, have seen the first one in theater this year,
the rest on streaming, first time seeing Rambo (2008) too
it was pretty hardcore! good thing it was the uncut version.

Same. Bought all of mine for $7.99 about 3 years ago (haven’t bought Last Blood).

In all U.S. versions of Rambo: Last Blood, even the digital extended cut, the tracking shot from Rambo's house lasts 25 seconds shorter than in the international cut. I think the music syncs better with the longer shot. I hope that will be fixed for the future box set.

Rather have slips of the poster art similar to the last releases than lobby cards...

I heard lots of good things (in a podcast about a year ago) about a new release of these movies coming out...finding the original audio material and all that which I guess was hard to find. I remember hearing the audio from a laserdisc I used to have and it was fantastic.

Any guesses as to when it might come out with improved everything?

Cool that the 4K steelbook comes with an 52 page perfect booklet by David J. Moore (partially reprinted from The Good, the Tough and the Deadly: Action Movies and Stars), but obviously StudioCanal are pulling an Arrow and the essay itself only takes up 18 pages, the rest is padded out with stills.

A little weird having Rambo as the title rather than First Blood on the front, but without the white leaf and DV logo, it should be the correct discs.

It’s a nice design with the embossed logo and shiny red title/Stallone credit, although I probably prefer the deluxe edition cover.

Weird that the BD menu has the score as music but not the UHD. Also what’s with the outdated/offensive historical values warning?

Well first that is garbage; many Americans have lost the ability to hate the enemy and are very sensitive today.

I'm sure it has to do with how the enemy is referred to in those movies. I could do without the warnings; it was never in the movies to begin with.

Also, I take it you're not talking about the newer ones with the new scans and stuff otherwise I'm sure this thread would be picking up with great speed by now.

No we haven't. That's just corporations/media towing a line. I did give up D+ though because they were censoring their back catalogue and putting too many of those dumb messages on good films/shows, I even saw some on ****ing cartoons. Might as well burn your whole film vault if you're ashamed of how it got you here.

I’d imagine it’s a way to stop them being sued by fragile individuals.

I don't see anything wrong with a warning honestly. Especially if it keeps films from being edited. As long as they don't mess with the movie then I couldn't care less, and caring seems a bit persnickety to me, no offense intended.

However Disney has censored French Connection and others, and THAT is completely unacceptable. I can't believe that hasn't been a big story. Media movies fast I guess.
