The freebies (some are only available during seasons or events) Metal Gear Solid, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus, and Pirates of the Caribbean DLC most caught my attention.

If you've got the Game of the Year Edition you'll already have some of the MGS stuff, not sure if it lets you buy that stuff already included again.

I concur with Shin-Ra. If you got the Game Of The Year Edition you will already have the Metal Gear Solid 4 content included on the disc. Otherwise, that is HIGHLY recommended along with the Pirates Of The Caribbean content... both of which come with extra levels to play through for your enjoyment. Everything else that has been released is either just costumes or stickers.

Yeah I got GoTY for 30$ at Gamestop. (: Pirates of the Caribbean looks pretty sweet, though.

Go to "My Content" - you'll find some more "free" creator tools as well. (Infinite spawn checkpoints, global lighting, tetherless jet pack, etc.) - if you are interested in creating that is.

Oh yeah, one more suggestion - always use infinite portals. LBP players don't like levels that are too challenging - and they HATE it when they have to start a level over. Most will never try it again and probably give your level a low rating out of frustration. I went back and updated most of my levels with infinite spawns checkpoints.

It's hard enough to get people to play your level - why kick them out before they want to leave.
I think i have the boat working to my satisfaction now. It auto returns when you jump off now. I also changed camera angles like you suggested on Ace Skillzzz. Good call. As for the spawn points I already have infinite spawn points on super tough spots but I just cant bring myself to do all infinite. Just makes me feel like people dont even have to try that way. I know it'll cost me plays but I just cant do it.

Make sure you allow yourself ample time when you build your level. you'll probably spend 2 hours just on tutorials. Enjoy!! Also I Like the history pack and the GOW pack for creating with.

Cool - glad you got it to your liking.

I know what you mean - I added infinite spawn points to Puzzle Wheels 2 (A pretty hard level) - but I didn't add them to the last wheel - each Puzzle Wheel level has a final wheel, that provides you with a photo showing you are a "Puzzle Wheel Master" - which many people uploaded to the level. I felt it wouldn't be fair to provide more chances than those people had who beat it with limited spawns.

It won't cost you plays - but it may result in a lot more people never finishing, or giving it a low star rating because they get frustrated - but I understand your reasoning.

Hope to be done with my new level by this Monday!

Haha, really? I'll do it, it's worth it. Is it possible to make a level with multiple backgrounds? If you know what I mean. >_<

Also, if anyone wants me to try out their levels, I'll be glad to do so. (:

Always lookin for someone to try my levels but your gonna wanna beat the story levels before attempting some of mine. They can be a bit difficult.

As for the multi-background. I dont believe its possible but there are always ways around things like that with enough work.

No, you can only select one background at a time - I rarely use backgrounds in my levels unless it truly fits the theme. It can certaintly add depth - but you should not rely on it to make a visually appealing level.

You don't need to try my levels - but if you decided to - The Great Race 3D and Puzzle Wheels 2 are my latest.

I will post on here when I'm done with my new level, The Dream Catcher - I've made some great effects that I'm fairly proud of - just wish I could have put all the effects in one level. I think I improve a little with each level I make (or try to), so usually my latest levels are the ones I direct people to. (I don't even have my first two levels listed in my sig )

Let us know if you need any help in create mode - it is INCREDIBLY time consuming - but fun, for the most part. Like building an interactive model for people to play on from only what you can dream up. Good stuff.

To search for an Author - type @ infront of their name - example - @justbugin

In addition to the Author search (put @ in front of the search word to search by Author) there are now some more new search methods.

Search for words in Level Title only

To search for words in Level Title only, put a $ in front of the search word . For example, to search for levels with ‘The Great Race 3D’ in the Level Title type:

$The Great Race 3D

Search for exact words

To search for exact words, use single quotes, like this:

'Great'

Good luck on the "Bunker Level" in storymode if you haven't already beaten it - hard level.

Alright thanks. I'm confused on playing online, though. ): I press play online but no one ever joins, but it shows me a picture of some random person's sackperson.

If, at the beginning of the level, there is a little sign on a pole that spins and shows a sack person with the circle-slash graphic overtop of it (think Ghostbusters logo over slimer), that means that no players can join in the level until you are completed it or you restart it. They will be in the game watching you have fun and waiting for you to let them in. If you are in the middle of a level and someone joins and you don't restart for them, they will often leave.

That is probably what you are experiencing.

Yeah, that's one of the problems. (: Is there a way to join a group, though? (Thanks, also)

That's the only way - join a level and select "play online" - it's luck of the draw.

I've played with some good people that way and we've helped each other get some prizes, etc. Sometimes you'll end up with other people joining and before you know it you have 4 people.

Also - you can always invite a friend to play if you see them online.

I saw a friend online last night - invited them and they already had two people with them, so we had a full pod.

Sucked though - I asked them to help beta test my new level (haven't seen what happens with 4 people) - and it went horribly. I have a lot of switches and things - so, I have to be careful if I don't have sackboy hovering in create mode - it seems I activated some switches and when we went to play, things didn't function properly. And, I saw that there was a problem with multiple players.

But, that is why you beta test. I try to beta test a LOT before publishing a level - if there is something that isn't working properly, your buddies will find it!

I just can't seem to find time to create - I REALLY want to be done with this level soon. With the Thermo right at the top - not sure if I'll have a choice how I end it.

You could make it a two-parter. (: What I plan on doing is making a story thing. I have a pretty nice idea of what I'm going to do. Haha. When you fix your level I can test it for you, just PM me.

Edit: I can't find a grass object anywhere. :[ I 100%ed the first three levels with the King dude and all the MGS levels. Is there anyway I can get some grass or more trees? ): I'm trying to make my own background because the garden is, uh.. A actual garden. >_<; I also don't know what to use for grass where you actually walk. If you know what I mean.

There is grass - can't remember where I got it. I 90% or higher on a LOT of levels - need to get everything one of these days.

As for The Dream Catcher, yeah, it's is already being broken up into two levels The thermo didn't give me choice. I really need to work on my making my levels short.

I lot of reason this level has taken so long is that I've had hardly any time - but I'm so close to ending it that it it beginning to feel like forever!

Definitely need some more beta tests soon.
