there's a huge (and very laughable) difference between the two.
Yea, I guess we will never know for sure. Amazing and quite obvious that if discrepancies of sales numbers touted by Paramount is going on, that can only mean one thing. If they are falsifying sales numbers, they are lying and that can only indicate embarrasment, deceit, defensiveness and many other negative qualities in a company that I for one do not have any desire to give penny one to.

Great numbers for the standalone Spider-Man 3, I'm sure a LOT of people got the trilogy instead.. like ME.

Thats a very good question. I picked up the box set as well. I'll bet many others did as well. Can't wait to see those sales numbers.

Wicky, are you sure ? hmm, in article there is no mention about not including of box sets, just that units bundled with PS3 are not included.....

I hope you are right and the number can by much much higher, I wonder why Sony did not published over all number for Spiderman3

although it doesn't specifically exclude the box sets, neither does the announcement include the box set.

it doesn't say that they sold 130k of spidey 3 AND the box set.

yes, that's correct, that's why I hope that those are not included
so the number could be much bigger

They know the numbers for both so it is odd that they wouldn't mention the trilogy. My guess is that the number includes both. We can figure out how many box sets sold based on the ratios from friday's numbers.

Still very strong sales for a rather poorly received film. It should continue to sell quite well through the holidays.

This rocks considering Transformers DVD outsold Spiderman DVD 3:1(on the first day anyways)

unless of course paramount lied about that too lol.

Now the emo Peter Paker doesn't have to cut his wrist while listening to 'Vindicated' from Dashboard Confessional (OST from Spidy 2)

Decent song, by the way

I am confused about transformer figure. some said that it beat spider-man, while this site said beaten by spider-man.....
I can't trust hd dvd side due to their records of lying and spreading FUD.
but some said that transformer has 190,000 sold/shipped??

Now, how well do all of us think Blu did--in percentages--for the week?

I really do appreciate the fact that Sony waited, published legit figures, and let the world laugh its asses off at Paramount and their bogus claims.

Once they include the box set (which I, too, have lovingly sitting on my self), Sony will have hit them with the second of their combo punch. What's the boxing terminology? TKO!

Wasn't the consensus that 190k was shipped, *not* sold. 110k was sold (and even that may be a fudge).

Great news indeed. You know Paramount would have included the box set in the numbers and not said shipped or sold to spin it as much as possible. Maybe Sony and the BDA could learn something from Paramount
