@JimIrsay
That's the reason Season tic prices shouldn't even have a tic price on individual tics..The 10 home game tics have varying value

N the end it's fair/U R NOT paying full price for pre-Season games..no more you' re not paying full,but under-prized 4 Texan/ Broncos,etc
10:58 AM - 14 Aug 2013

If all NFL owners think that way then they should print their perceived value on each ticket. Then we us season ticket holders try to sell our crappy preseason tickets we can charge less for them and not be losing any money.
Yah ok, how about NFL owners put their money where their mouth is and charge less for season tickets in seasons where very few home games are against opponents with high-profile players. Oh but wait! Perceived value only matters when it favors the owners.

It's little things like this that add up to the day where the NFL is no longer on top. Which will happen some day, just ask Boxing. Or Horse Racing.

some "sources" coming out saying he will be fine..just a pre caution. He usually wears his brace like he always has on that knee....he didn't wear it today. Bet that doesn't happen again

President Obama to Honor 1972 Super Bowl Champion Miami Dolphins At The White House

Quote:
On Tuesday, August 20, the President will welcome the undefeated 1972 Super Bowl Champion Miami Dolphins to the White House for the first White House ceremony honoring their historic season.

“The entire Miami Dolphin organization is very excited and appreciative that the 1972 “Perfect Season” team is going to be honored by President Obama at the White House," Dolphins Chairman of the Board/Managing General Partner Stephen M. Ross said. "By going undefeated all year en route to a Super Bowl championship, the ’72 Dolphins reached the pinnacle of sports achievement and set a standard for excellence that has yet to be duplicated. In addition, Coach Shula and his players were just as successful off the field in their charitable and civic activities, becoming role models for the South Florida community. The players and coaches are most deserving of this unique honor, and they are looking forward to their trip to the White House and their ceremony with the President.”

I don't get this, I really don't. Like any business they want to maximize profits. Why would they charge less? Teams that struggle to sell out do sometimes lower ticket prices. But they aren't going to lower ticket prices when they are selling well.

Was Horse Racing ever as popular as the NFL? Or boxing? I don't think so and if they lost popularity I doubt it was due to ticket prices being raised.

Ross is picking up the tab for all the travel and accommodations of the former players. But it does seem kind of silly to me, to be honest, and I'm a Fin Fan.

So apparently this flew under my radar, but Steven Jackson is a Falcon now. Seriously?

Immediately boosts them to top of the NFC in my opinion.

He has a lot...a lot of miles on him. Still a good back. But he is going to decline sooner rather than later. SF is still my favorite in NFC because of D

I've heard a Vegas oddsmaker once say that in the NFL the only position player who can significantly move his team's odds of winning the Super Bowl due to injury is the QB. More specifically a top-10 in the league QB. Any other player can only move the line marginally.

But he'd also keep Atlanta moving in the 4th, which is where the team fell apart multiple games last year. Turner just couldn't get first downs with any kind of consistency. He'd average 4 yards a carry by running off a 30 yard carry after getting 6 cards on the previous 8.

So if Brady actually did go down with a season ending injury how does everyone think the AFC East would play out? My best guess is with Mallett at QB the Pats still end up 9-7 or better. I think Mallett would put up decent numbers in that offense. The Dolphins would have a good chance of winning the division under that scenario IMO.
