It's little things like this that add up to the day where the NFL is no longer on top. Which will happen some day, just ask Boxing. Or Horse Racing. |

Was Horse Racing ever as popular as the NFL? Or boxing? I don't think so and if they lost popularity I doubt it was due to ticket prices being raised. |

I've heard a Vegas oddsmaker once say that in the NFL the only position player who can significantly move his team's odds of winning the Super Bowl due to injury is the QB. More specifically a top-10 in the league QB. Any other player can only move the line marginally.

But he'd also keep Atlanta moving in the 4th, which is where the team fell apart multiple games last year. Turner just couldn't get first downs with any kind of consistency. He'd average 4 yards a carry by running off a 30 yard carry after getting 6 cards on the previous 8.

So if Brady actually did go down with a season ending injury how does everyone think the AFC East would play out? My best guess is with Mallett at QB the Pats still end up 9-7 or better. I think Mallett would put up decent numbers in that offense. The Dolphins would have a good chance of winning the division under that scenario IMO.
