I want to remove this sticker, and I slowly began to peal it back, but all of the sticky gunk continued to stay on the cardboard slip cover.

Does anyone know how I can get that stuff off of there without damaging the cover?
It's a bit too late for me to use that Goo remover from amazon, because when I got my MIB on Blu I started removing the sticker and tried all sorts of stuff on the goo but nothing I had at home worked. So I got mad and ripped up the slip cover . I was thinking about going to Best Buy and buying a new copy, keep the slip cover (since the Blu-ray package itself is sealed) and return the Blu-ray with an excuse saying, "I already own it on DVD." Or something. You guys think that'll work in my situation?

Goo gone and some patience worked wonders for me. However... it's just a slip cover. I stick mine in the closet in case I ever want to sell them but that's about it.

yes it works i've done this like 20 times with other movies, example I ordered Cars on ebay and the slip cover was damaged when it got here so I then go to Target buy it remove the cover and just return it, they never even ask why

I was able to get the residue off by just dabbing the residue with the sticker I peeled off for a little while. It comes off really easy if you just dab it with the sticker that you peeled off for a bit. You can also use scotch tape and it'll do the same thing.

i actually to get it off pretty easily i used a hair dryer to heat up the sticker and pulled it back a little, heated it with the hair dryer a little more a pulled some more, i did that until it came of and what little residue that was left i used hairspray and a towel and it look like a champ.

Default Rremoving BD disc sticker gunk

Hey everyone, first time poster and I really love the site. Only problem I have is I am huge collector or movies, so I want to know what should I use to remove the gunk off of the movies that have 3 sticker strips of protection... the kind that leaves a very stick residue on the movie (the ones that have an easy to remove top sticker but the other two (side and bottom sticker) I have tried Wd-40 but it is not strong enough, should I just get a bottle of GooGone?

you might be talkin about Lionsgate stickers, they are annoying..

my way is to take it off just a little bit with a cutter or something like, grab it and finish it with one quick and straight special deadly move

and welcome to the site

Default aye

Of all the 40 BluRay discs I have purchased only a handful have that completely bs method of putting strips on the top, middle and button. The top comes off easily, but the middle and bottom sticker are just riddle with this sticky crap that I wish to get rid of (I'm very anal about my movie collection and I want to remove all that sticker residue crap ASAP, if anyone has a recommendation (and yes I've tried all the gunk removers from any source outside of buying some, but if anyone would suggest any stuff I could buy at a store that would be fine since I have around 7 bluray discs that could use a good cleaning. Thanks in advance.

Plus I am proud to say that I own 42 blu ray movies and I am loving them. I have a philips 42inch 1080p 120hz tv setup to my PlayStation3 and I'm loving it ALOT. I never understand hidef until I had this nice little setup.
