No, hopefully next weekend. My wife's folks will be here this weekend. I'll be sure to take some pics as I'm building it though.

Evenin fellas! I'm almost done with my riser

I have the riser and the foam pieces made, and now I'm trying to glue some fabric around the sides of the riser to finish it off. I read that a few of you guys had used 3m spray glue for your fabric, so I went to Michaels and grabbed a can of spray glue (not 3m, it was $5 cheaper ) and it's not really workin too well for securing the fabric. I did a test with 2 pieces and after it was dry, they peeled apart rather easily. I'm trying super glue right now, but gotta wait for it to dry

Try Liquid Nails, tbizzle. Made a world of difference for me. And a tube is only like $4 at Home Depot.

This is good to know. I was just planning to buy the spray-on stuff that BD recommended, but if this is considerably cheaper...

And it works great! I tried using glue with bad results. On a whim I tried using Liquid Nails, and I was surprised at the bond and how well it worked. And I figured I couldn't go wrong trying it for $4.

Lol, I want this thing to be solid

Well the super glue worked awesome, as expected. I just ironed the fabric and made a nice hem on the top and bottom, I'll go finish the glue-ing and get some pics

Well, here's some pics. I had to leave earlier, but I taped the fabric in the back when I got home, so this is what it will look like when it's finished. When I finish the back, the fabric will be more taught in the front

Thanks!

Here's the final product. I tested a few scenes (Skidoosh, Hulk campus fight, Ben Button sub shootout) and they sounded awesome. Bass was a little more tight, smooth, and a decent amount more non-directional. I'm not an audiophile, but I definitely noticed a difference. It even seems to hit a little harder. I played Beats For My Van pretty loud and my window and door was shaking (as usual) but it seemed to be hitting a little harder, more smoothly and more efficiently
