But as Ernest mentioned, the VUDU ones are the special editions! Not the UOT.
It was evident from the trailers.
So, we don't know if UOT will be released or not.

Again, I wouldn't be surprised to see the films released thusly:

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (standard disc, 3D disc, digital copy code)
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (standard disc, 3D disc, digital copy code)
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (standard disc, 3D disc, digital copy code)
Star Wars: A New Hope (SE disc, UOT disc, digital copy code for the SE)
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (SE disc, UOT disc, digital copy code for the SE)
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (SE disc, UOT disc, digital copy code for the SE)

I was right, it does have some of those old LD extras like How Walkers Walk.
Nice to see that they've included the big prequel documentaries, it's almost like they're paving the way for ultimate editions of each movie, with deleted scenes.

"How Walkers Walk" sounds like a Game of Thrones featurette ...

Well the 16th can't get here soon enough.

Remember what DISNEY wants DISNEY gets..and if they are invested in this franchise then they will do anything to get what the fans (UOT BLU) want.

Kathleen Kennedy is @ celebration for a reason...she doesn't need to be there to introduce a trailer!

She will be there to announce something bigger (UOT) i personally think she will be holding something when she comes out onto the podium..but don't quote me on that.

That's pretty much how I'd expect the standalone releases to go, only I'd also add a movie-specific disc of special features including the extant DVD/LD extras which were omitted from the first Blu-ray box (which, funnily enough, are on the Vudu extras list, although there's no sign of Empire of Dreams).

This could very well shape up just like the standalone releases of the 2004 DVDs. Lucasfilm needed to come up with something that would get people buying the same shit over again, and those old LD masters of the OT were the carrot. This time around, we might just get the restored OT and the 3D versions of the PT as the sweetener...

So, do you think that the original theatrical versions of the prequel trilogy (with puppet yoda etc.) will remain unreleased?
Not that I would care anyway..
I'm just interested in the first trilogy.

This makes perfect sense...what better way to prepare for the new trilogy then to have everyone (even Newbies) catch up on everything thus far..

No, I think they would save that for special features, if they included it at all.

You mean having the complete films in HD in the special features?
Or SD?

No, I mean the original podrace scene and the original puppet Yoda scenes...if they're included at all, they'd be in the special features. There's not a lot of clamoring for the original cut of The Phantom Menace.

I'd LOVE to have the theatrical cut of Phantom Menace and the DVD cut of Clones in HD but that's not gonna happen.

That's for the VUDU releases...I'm talking about an UOT announcement...that's what will be saved for celebration. not VUDU.

The Vudu info will just be small part of the overall surprise announcement.
