Anakin's ghost has always substantially differed from the others. Shaw-Anakin may appear the age he was when he died ( or at least his age according to the ROTJ script ) but he is "perfected"; his Mustafar damage is gone and he appears in Jedi attire. It is as if a Jedi Master Anakin, one who was never immolated on the banks of a lava river and who never became a Sith, has ghosted. In contrast with Obi-Wan and Yoda, we're not seeing an image that is a visually accurate representation of the character at any point in his actual lifetime. Where the Force ghost is concerned, the results of turning to the dark side have been erased. The DVD/Blu-ray version merely makes the same point in a different way, by visually regressing Anakin to the point right before he turned to the dark side. Here redemption is for our purposes tantamount to reversion. Return of the Jedi.

Bzzzzzzzz try again. You need to stop.

Along with the one shots and tv show, the movies are still not in complete order. If you think Captain America shouldn't come first you are mistaken, same with Incredible Hulk.

Which is it? Do I need to try again or stop?

What I said - which is right there in the quote, so I'm not sure how you could get it wrong - was that "most of the movies are already in chronological order, with the exception of the first Captain America movie." And that statement is accurate, regardless of how many immature "sound effects" you use. It's not my fault that the example you chose was an especially poor one, is it?

And I don't give two craps about Agents of Shield.

Sound, um, they are words typed? Riiiinnnng....going to answer the phone?

Immature coming from you, I consider the source.

You don't like Agents of Shield. Ok, but still not in chronological order nor is Agent Carter. Obviously you think they were released first. Wow

Again, in case you don't understand, Marvel One Shots are very much all over the place and sorry you are not aware. Read up, you reall should. Getting back to topic. Care to bring up genesim again? It is what you usualy do.

Totally agree with this. I state my opinion and I bring facts as to why I think so.

Yet, we all can enjoy them how they want. Some people just want others to feel or say one thing, and that is just wrong.

I would rather just discuss the movies. I think we all can learn from each other.

Jesus - calm down, man. It's like I'm communicating with a teenager.

What part of the word "movies" in my statement did you not understand? The fact remains, what I posted was accurate and no amount of childish blathering can change that. Regardless, this is not a Marvel thread and your example was poorly-thought-out at best, so there's really nothing more to say.

It's only a matter of time...

Most that criticize are doing so with OT fan prejudice.

Watching the final versions IV-VI first would be plain unimaginable.
I can't imagine having one of the greatest (if not the greatest) plot twists in cinematic history ruined by watching the prequels first, if that person knew absolutely nothing about Star Wars. If that person had some knowledge then I guess I could get behind that idea.

Case in point I recently started watching the movies with my four year old daughter (almost five). She knew some of the characters but that was about it. We started with Star Wars then Empire the next day. After "I am your father," she had a bewildered expression, like she was trying to comprehend what that meant. I would have liked to have waited until she was a bit older and maybe there might have been a stronger reaction, but it was only a matter of time before she discovered the truth. Still the reaction I got was worth it. Hopefully we'll watch Jedi this weekend. I think she'll be into it more than the first two, although she did say she liked them. She's seen parts of Force Awakens and she really like that one.

I actually saw the OT in reverse order. I saw parts of Star Wars on Superchannel around 81 when the channel would come in clear for a few minutes before going back to snow. I would sit and wait for parts of the movie in 2-3 minute chunks, all out of order! I actually very clearly remember Ben talking to Luke in his house, and when Luke and Leia swing across the chasm. I had read the storybooks and listened to the books on record (I actually still have a tape recording of me reading Star Wars when I was almost four) so I knew the stories and characters well. When I saw Jedi in the opening weeks when I was 5 I knew everything that was going on, and the whole father thing was no surprise. It was about a year later when we rented Empire (with Raiders as a double feature!) after having just seen Temple of Doom in the theater. Soon after we rented Star Wars and Superman III. Looking back now, I would say Jedi is the best for a kid to get into Star Wars, and after the PT came out Phantom Menace Is probably the most kid friendly to introduce younglings to the Star Wars Universe.

That of course still depends on their introductory knowledge of star wars and whether or not you want them to experience a movie plot twist the likes of which we may never see again. Although the teaser sequence at the end of Furious 6 had me out of my chair...

Wait, trying to follow your logic. So the Marvel One Shots I mentioned are not the Marvel Cinematic Universe? So they aren't part of the past and only seeing them in release order will work??? So the fact that that the timelines are all over the place and seeing them in order enhancing the experience makes it a "poorly thought out" example.

Whatever you say boss. Lets see if you are truly done. Hate to break it to you, but Agent Carter was back door pilot with the One Shot. You must have missed that along with the other timeline chages from release date.

@Jakdonark. Yes in some ways from how I remembered the movies I can't imagine it either, but then I watched the new vision without prejudice (not saying you did).

Maybe it wasn't meant to be a twist? Just throwing that out there. Lucas had lots of evidence of going toward Vader being something bigger. It is there from the first poster. It is there from the first moment he busts that door down with the Stormtrooper posse.

I myself always thought who is that masked man? Seeing him become that masked man doesn't change it it for some fans, and actually enhances the experience because believe it or not, some people actually love Haydn and feel bad for him and actually root for him despite his deadly flaws.

Just another take, especially with what the creator wanted in the end.

There is no truky "right" way, and glad you can enjoy with family. Fantastic series.

@jstxanothrxstory Not a fan of Machete order. I love Episode I even with flaws.

Do you mean Rister? Doesn't his order still include Episode I, while the Machete variation of that was a different dude?

I remember seeing Revenge of the Sith in the theater and getting chills when the Darth Vader mask was placed on Anakin's head and then having that moment ruined when he yelled "Nooooooo!" and made an overly dramatic gesture with his arms. Then when I found out that same line was added to Return of the Jedi I couldn't believe it. That moment in Sith, along with numerous changes done to the OT remind me of the phrase "Less is more."

Absolutely. He should have just stood stock still and, if he were to say anything, surely it would be "Yippee!" or "Huzzah!"

It's as if Star Wars was in part, based on some campy programming Lucas enjoyed as a kid...

When I watch them I skip TPM and AOTC and start with ROTS. I think TPM and AOTC is not worth watching and does not need to be watched. I just pretend they never happen

How could the guy throw a fit like that? I mean when I burn up in Lava and choke out my own true love and find out I have lost my unborn child, I hold back and just look in the solemn behind the mask way with perhaps a hand not flapping but gently coming to forehead....and just a whisper of Nooooo...in that Hamlet acting that doesn't ruin in a less is more kinda way...like....Mark Hamil in Empire Strikes Back in the "

Speaking of that word, "Noooooo", until the Blu-ray release of ROTJ, that film was the only one in the saga to have not featured someone saying it. I honestly can't remember if it's said in TFA but I hope it is; it's a Star Wars tradition, like someone losing a limb in each film.
