You know as much as we go back and forth kidding about it, the facts are that if you want to take out the Death star, one should just open source that.

You would have "rebels" lining up now that a planet has been destroyed.

I still laugh when I hear that actor in the first movie say "... is now the ULTIMATE POWER IN THE UNIVERSE!!"

That dude brings me back to the first movie every time.

xxxxxxxxxx

You tried to compare Lucas not releasing the UOT in HD to a product recall. I don't remember George Lucas ever offering a replacement free of charge.

Thank you very much, moron.

You're still ignorant to the fact I haven't once criticised the changes. Only the crap that Lucas has said about the audience.

Try and explain how George Foreman's dangerous grills fits in to George Lucas telling the audience they were wrong to like something the way it was the first time he showed it to them.

Certain folks (and I won't use the King's name in vain ), apparently only interested in driving up their post counts, have made this thread a travesty. Please ... stop.

Once again you are trying to argue things I never said. I even underlined it for you and that wasn't enough.

And there you go with more name calling.

I never focused on you doing anything. Of course that didn't stop you from calling names and throwing a fit.

Wait, who said anything about George Foreman grills being dangerous? It is like you are grabbing things out of mid air trying to make a point instead of actually tackling what I stated.

I stated that George Foreman could recall a design because he didn't like it. This is now the third time I have stated this.

How about actually tackling the point I made instead of dancing around it and even misstating it.

Again, I get it. There are many like you that don't like what George Lucas did, and they want to force him not to have that choice. And anyone that points that out must be attacked without mercy. Oh and if I defend myself...lah lah I am not listening. Fingers in ears. Call names.. Do what it takes to get them banned. etc...

You know when I put someone on ignore? The twelfth of NEVER. Ignoring is baby stuff. It is a design to block input from people you can learn from.

Even my "enemies" I can benefit from knowing what they have to say.

Gee wouldn't want to point the finger at the person calling names and driving the discussion to the usual George Lucas bashing I only want UOT rants??

Something about this Star Wars thread. If you aren't going after Lucas in some way, then you must be hated!!

Honestly, I think it is a dead issue now as far as what George did or did not intend. We know what happened. We know how it turned out. Kathleen will probably continue to honor George`s wishes. And, possibly, none of us will live long enough to see the original theatrical trilogy on blu-ray or UHD. Or, maybe we will! Only Yoda knows at this point. And, he ain`t talking!
George had final say and don't be surprised if it NEVER happens.

Meanwhile, what bothers me and him is that there are old Star Wars VHS tapes out there. Is it wrong to buy them up and put the special editions there instead and then give them back to charity and pawn shops etc.? I think George Lucas final cut should be preserved and they should get rid of all those "beta" versions.

Moving on (if people truly want that). I have a question. Has anyone solved why they had to go down the canyon with guns instead of attacking the portal head on in the original Star Wars?

The same is true about "I'll stay back and cover you". It seems to me they were more targets instead of fighting the Tie Fighters?

I always wanted to hear good explanations on this.

Too may TIE fighters. Plus the TurboLasers, plus Friendly Fire.
The trench was safer as it only had a few Turbo Laser towers.
