But yeah, Rogue One is objectively not a terrible film: terrible films don't have good acting, well done SFX and an engaging plot. You want a film lacking in any of those qualities, go watch one of the prequels.
Again you are stating your OPINION, their is no such thing as a objectively great or terrible film, it is all subjective. I suggest you be less abrasive next time because you are asking for a arugement and asking to be suspended

They all pretty much suck after Empire Strikes Back. Force Awakens is an abomination with no redeeming value. Rogue One did have some good stuff in it; however, it was a pretty joyless affair overall.

I think people mix up objective evaluation of craft versus subjective feelings of art. People can look at a painting and appreciate the craft, while not feeling a damn thing looking at it. Conversely, people can look at a painting and wince at how crude the craft is, while subjectively connecting to it emotionally anyway. The trick is combining the two. Craft you can control (if you have access to certain resources), but even then, you can only *hope* people connect to it, and that's completely out of your control.

I will admit that the prequels are not near as good, but I still really enjoy ROTJ. Also, if you imagine that the Ewoks are really hot Amazonian women instead then it makes it even better.

I'd say that calling a film that gets 85% fresh from RT critics, 77% from top critics and 87% from audiences 'terrible' is borderline trolling and thus abrasive in and of itself. And when I say that Rogue One is objectively not terrible I don't mean to imply any expectation that there won't be some people who hate it. I understand why some are hostile to it and have issues with it myself.

But there are indeed objectively great and terrible films. For example, Coleman Francis made objectively terrible films. He fails in just about every way a filmmaker can. Directors like Coppola, Kubrick, Scorsese, Polanski, Hitchcock, Kurosawa OTOH have made some objectively great films. That's not to say I enjoyed all of them but credit must be given for their technical prowess and general mastery of the art form. Rogue One falls into neither of the above categories. I would never suggest consulting IMDB for a list of 'great' films but they do a pretty good job with their bottom 100. Go check it out: Rogue One simply does not belong among their ranks.

I know of another example of that, but it's not Star Wars-related.

The new trilogy, plus the upcoming Han Solo film, are utterly useless and although technically well-made, we could manage nicely without TFA and TLJ.
Rouge One was actually pretty good.

I don’t trust Rotten Tomatoes anymore. There are some movies that have almost 100% on there that I think are horrible and others that have less than 20% that I found highly entertaining. I think IMDb ratings are more accurate even though those can be way off too.

I lost it before TESB. Maybe the titles were fed into a random generator.

I have never liked RT for that very reason plus some others. I like IMDB, but only for their streamlined upkeep of the cast, money made, etc.
