If you haven't seen them, I highly recommend it!
Thanks a lot for posting. I'll check it out when I find some time.

There is no doubt these will be in OAR, 2.35...Lucas was releasing OAR way back in the VHS days, so there is no doubt he will continue.
Lol! I can't believe some actually fell for it!

Sometimes I wonder ... am I the only one who's just happy to have these movies on Blu-ray in HD, no matter the version, cut or extra's included? Sure, it would've been ideal to have all the cuts and editions with seamless branching.

But come on, it's Star Wars ... in HD ... with lossless audio ... on Blu-ray. I think that fact alone is reason to celebrate, no?

You would think that it would be but it's the nature of the Internet.

Look at all the release threads, someone at one point will complaint about the image not being perfect, the audio not being perfect, the packaging not being perfect, the pictures on the case not being perfect........ Plus if you then mention this, like I just did they will jump on you with "what is wrong with wanting things perfect Blu-ray is the premiun release, they should be perfect". Never mind that all you are saying is just "what about just remembering that once we used to just enjoy the movies, not debate all these little details to death". But that is how the nature of our world now is, c'est la vie.

I'm with you. I'm very excited about this release. I think more of the celebrating will come once we're able to actually hold the sets in our hands. I know the DVD releases had some flaws in the transfer, but as far as clarity, it was excellent. It even looked great upscaled on my 46-inch TV, so I know the quality of the Blu-Rays will be excellent as well.

I'm totally psyched for these coming out on BLU-RAY in HD with lossless sound! (hopefully 7.1 - though Jeff Kleist said prolly 6.1).

I never want to see the "originals' again - I think the changes in 4-6 are (mostly) improvements. I'm looking forward to seeing what else GL has changed for the Blu-rays. I like how he keeps "tweaking" his films to make them better (I'm alot the same way with anything I create - esp on video).

Can't wait - just watched 1-3 (with the kids) and am now on ANH. These are great movies indeed!

Default pre-order issue

Hey has anyone ordered the complete saga recently?
The reason i ask is cause a few of my co-workers ordered it on amazon
last night and this morning they received an e-mail from them saying that even though they pre-ordered it and they paid for 2nd day delivery that they may not get it on release day due to the high volume of pre-orders.
My friend also called them and inquired about it and a customer service rep said that they have exceeded their initial shipment of the complete saga on 2/10/11
and that those that pre-ordered after the date will have to wait up to 2 weeks for their shipment.

I have the other two but this one is not yet available. And I don't want to watch it on YouTube.
No idea. Though it is a pain watching these in 10 min clips on YT (Empire and Jedi are worse since they're only 5 min clips).

I didn't even know you could download these individually. I'd love to have each one on separate discs.

Real Player will download (or plug-ins for some browsers) the clips for you and you can make a playlist for them to watch them in one go (I think). RP downloads FLV if IRC you'll need a little program to convert them FLV Covertor, I haven't used it much so my results have been variable. I'm happy watching them on my PC anyway. It's a shame that only some things on YouTube aren't longer then ten minutes as these are something that would be enhanced by been full length and not cut into small chunks.

I hope that all of the errors from the 2004 OT SE dvd's are fixed for the blu-ray release of Episodes 4-6 such as the color timing . the messed up lightsabers , and the sound mix to episode 4 a new hope. Do we know if these issues / errors will be corrected for the blu-ray release of the star wars blu-ray box set? I sure hope so.

Hopefully the colour issues will be resolved my worry if the masters were taken from the post restoration prints/files then we may have lost some of the detail forever. Hopefully they cleaned up the prints then scanned them, then altered them for the DVD releases which would make more sense to me.

At the moment all we have is speculation on what's going to be altered/restored. Hopefully in a few months we'll have some official confirmation.

Indeed let's keep our fingers crossed that those issues / errors have been corrected for the blu-ray release of the OT Speical Editions.

George Lucas won't clean them up; they're the colors he originally intended.
