I usually don´t buy the insider... but I´m really excited about this issue!
I´m not sure if the cover is entirely new or promo from RotS.

Edit: Ok, it´s promo from RotS.

Darn, Yoda really was perfect in ROTS! Much more real than the puppet IMO.

I hope they use that version in TPM and ATOC too!!

I would also love to see that one in TESB and ROTJ, but I doubt it's going to happen.

Can't wait to hear news regarding the BD release, although I might wanna opt to be surprised. Don't know if I can stand the temptation though!

Peter Jackson said that the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings would only ever appear on DVD! The deceit! The lies! If they ever show them in cinemas I want my money back!

I don't trust that Disney company either sounds like a Mickey Mouse outfit to me.....

I hope so too... I wouldn´t want to see him entirely replaced in E5 and E6 but they could breathe a little more life into him by some cgi enhancement... like they did with ET. I´d certainly like to see him replaced when he´s strapped to Luke´s back.

Kidding.

That is all, I imagine it would lead to a lot of people not letting their kids see IV-VI before I-III though.

I like Kamino, or some of the old Sith worlds talked about in the books. Like Korriban or Ruusaan.

A question about this magazine (I know of it but have never really read it short of flipping through it once or twice at a bookstore or something), obviously they must have some kind of official license to publish the magazine, but when they review something (like, say, for example, the upcoming Blu-Rays), are they reviewing it from an unbiased stand-point? Meaning, is "The Big L" censoring what they can and can't say about the discs, forcing them to focus mostly or only on positives, or do they have the freedom to say what they really feel (within reason) even if some of it is less than positive?

I'm just asking because I am interested in truly knowing what the Blu-Ray will be like in terms of PQ (particularly for the older OT movies), and would like to get some genuinely unbiased testimony. I am just concerned whether or not this will constitute such testimony. It's not exactly a stretch to think that the official magazine of the property reviewing a product based on said property is going to have a biased review in favor of said product.

Star Wars and objectivity are 2 things that don't go together, my friend.

Except when I make an assessment, of course.

You will just have to see for yourself.

I don't think the Star Wars Insider is the place to find unbiased reviews of anything Star Wars. I can't even remember that many bad reviews of the DVD's period. It took a while (probably a New York minute) before the internet was flooded with dissent. Most of the PT's films had 4 or 5 star reviews in Empire magazine. Everybody gets pretty caught with the initial excitement of any new Star Wars thing. I'm sure we're all going to love the Blu-rays and if they have top-notch AV they deserved to be loved.... the internet will have to wait until we savour first before we start to complain.

I am getting antsy waiting for news though.

It doesnt really give reviews....it will just be a promo tool for the blu telling what the extras could be, behind the scenes stuff, just things like that.

What do you think we will be seeing in the Insider issue?
Packaging? Picture quality samples? Special feature List? An interview with someone involved? Making of?

And, what special features would you like to be getting with the blu-ray box?
I guess they will be split into Prequel Specials (on one blu-ray) and Sequel Specials (on another blu-ray disc). the third blu-ray will most likely specials about the whole saga ...

We'll find out when the issue comes out.

What we "think" will be in there is rather moot. Regardless of whether our guesses are right or wrong, the contents of the magazine are gonna be what they're gonna be. Frankly I don't want to start over speculating and start expecting a treasure-trove of info, only for it to not come close to living up to expectations.

As critical as I am of the PT, and as much as I do wish for the option of the UOT, I still am looking forward to this Blu-Ray release, but I just find that pointless overspeculation tends to just set us up for disapointment more than anything.

Besides, I'm most interested in finding an objective view of what the PQ of the Blu-Rays will be (which I doubt we will get from Star Wars Insider). I know it will be some time before we get such reviews, but I am concerned with how the end product will look.

But we may also get a reviewer who hates Star Wars and this person will try to dissuade people from buying.
