Of course there is... as I said earlier my guess is that these are the interview bits separated for each Episode.

"The Collection" is so descriptive I almost don't even need to see the extras themselves!

To be honest I think his acting is pretty bad in all 3 prequels. I think he was miscast for the role. Then again it must have been pretty tough for an actor to have pretty much all his lines with Yoda who was just a CGI add on.

To anyone who thinks otherwise, please review Jackson's acting in the last 40 minutes of AOTC and then PM me an apology.
What about this classic exchange from RoTS (paraphrased):

SJ: But is he not the chosen one who is supposed to bring balance to the force?

Yoda: A prophecy that misread could have been.
(Ominous music suddenly starts)

SJ nods like Yoda is on to something.

Magic!

Agree 100%! To fully appreciate the PT you need to see the OT first. The OT builds up great mystery about Vader. ESB and ROTJ do a great job of making you curious about what 'event' made Vader turn to evil. It builds an interest in the events of the PT perfectly. You want to know how that character fell from grace.

Plus it keeps the experience of connecting with Luke in tact. You find out Vader is his father and have the same reaction. Same goes for when he finds out Leia is his sister (except our reaction was probably more "EW!"). That whole experience is preserved by watching the OT first.

I just find watching the OT first makes watching the PT that much more interesting as it build automatic interest in Anakin and his journey while also keeping Luke's journey just as fun/surprising.

Wow, that set looks nice. Love the slim Blu cases and the disc art DOES look better, but like I said, that part isn't even on my top 10 list of cares or concerns about this set.

Maybe some retailer will have some nice exclusive alternate packaging that doesn't suck.

I like the disc art, it has sorta grown on me. Nice to see some of the lesser characters get their due. I am sure the pages of the Complete Saga will be nothing but big spreads of the main characters (the Big Three and Padme and Anakin). Would have been funny as hell if the bonus disc art for the OT was 'Thin George Lucas', and the bonus disc art for the PT was 'Fat George Lucas.'

I think it might be TPM for me right now, mostly due to my young daughter who loves it.

When I was her age, it was ROTJ. I didn't really like ESB then, and I didn't appreciate ANH. Probably in college and before the PTs, my favorite became ANH.
I'm kind of in the same situation, but with different films. I watch Star Wars (the original...I don't call it "A New Hope") the most because my 3 year old (yes...he's a little young) loves it. When I was younger ROTJ was my favorite...but is now my least favorite of the original films (I'm 33).

I have to say...I have softened up on Star Wars since my son was born. I was a Prequel and Special Edition hater for the longest time. It's not that I felt that Lucas did something to me personally, I just think certain changes detract from the films. My son loves everything Star Wars though. The movie, the soundtrack, the action figures. He even hums the "Imperial March" or the "Death of Kenobi/Tie Fighter Attack" music...out loud...in public!

I pre-ordered the complete saga from Barnes and Noble using the 50% off coupon. I swore I wouldn't get sucked in...but seeing the absolute joy on my son's face and the $45 price won me over. His birthday is this Saturday and we are watching TPM for the first time together. I have to say...even though I'm not a big fan of the film...I'm excited to sit down with him and watch it.

I just wish the prequels were more like The Clone Wars series...which I absolutely love. In my opinion, the prequels have their moments...but aren't great films.

Anyway...I'm looking forward to getting the saga on Blu-ray. It's a shame we can't get this set Blade Runner style (all cuts...especially the OOT)...but I'll take what I can get so I can enjoy it now with my son.

So I wonder what the slim cases look like? Is it the same artwork as the disc? I guess we will have to wait and see. BTW, the disc artwork reminds me of The Planet of the Apes Collection; not great, but not bad.

We really need to update the first post of this thread with all available info including that this packaging is available outside the US. In the US it is a book like The Alien Anthology. I feel like a broken record here, but people keep seeing this, and thinking the States are getting this too. I'd just rather not have people upset which is what will happen when some realize this.

I agree. It looks to me like the same book-style Digipak the Alien Quadrilogy got for its DVD release:

You know what would have been perfect is if they would have released the Complete Scores for all the films to coincide with the blu-ray release.

Agreed, the UK set will have what looks like a Digistack (like the Alien Quadrilogy DVD set) and a separate booklet.

The US will have a US style Alien Anthology set and from some accounts the pages of the booklet will be part of the book case design (like the US Alien Anthology set) and not a separate item. But as I said yesterday that's just speculation on my part. I thought the UK Kubrick set would be separate cases and it turned out to be a jumbo Amaray, so I was miles off.
