You won't be able to convince me its not crazy. I'm sure you can buy some blu ray cases to put your discs in, if you are that bothered by the packaging. Or just buy the individual series. Decide what is more important: the packaging or the extra features, but to do both is an insane waste of money. There are people that already feel that $90 is too much, but spending $180 is most definitely too much.

Let the guy spend the money on what he wants. It's not that much money anyway.

And miss out on 3 discs of special features? Seems rather stupid when you can buy BD cases online for dirt cheap. Its like your ripping yourself off. Pay $90 and get movies and special features. Pay $90 and get only movies. Makes no sense.

I'll be getting the Complete Saga with the three bonus blu-rays. I normally don't care too much for extras, but I mean come on, this is Star Wars!

Thats what I plan on doing, I'll buy the Complete Saga and some some 3 disc blu ray cases ... the seprate trilogies will have high res scans of the cover art online soon and i'm sure a talented blu ray enthusist will do a custom srt for the bonus disc ... problem solved

EDIT: Oh and I will be watching 1 2 3 4 5 6 as well

Exactly! LOL.

We've been through some arguments on here, but in the end we're all fans and we love all forms of SW (prequel or OT).

Can't wait for the next official press release from Lucasfilm! Hope they maybe put out some teaser shots of additional changes Lucas has made to the 2004 special editions. I respect him for being willing to make enhancements and deal with potential backlash. Hopefully this brings him to his definitive vision or at least very close to it!

Either way, SW on blu-ray is a win for all. Hours and hours of extra features are a cherry on the top!

I think I'll buy both sets individually. Not a fan of book style packaging. And I can just borrow the 3 bonus discs from someone to rip or download them. That way I get individual cases and the 3 bonus discs free.

What about the book that is pictured on amazon's page for the complete saga...? Just a fancy case?

Which is why I mentioned different packaging/cover art. People can spend their money however they want. I just think it's a bit crazy to spend twice the money just for better packaging (and even more crazy just to be a completist).

I'm trying to decide on how to show my kids the Saga...
My first was Jedi at a Drive-In (boy i miss those) when i was 2...
then VHS for years...
I've always known Vader was Anakin.
Maybe i should start with Jedi for my son as that movie is what made me a fan at such a young impressionable age... he's almost the same age i was when i first saw Jedi...
I remember bits and pieces from seeing it then...

@Kinetic_Blue
1,2,4,5,3,6. Drew McWeeny at Hitfix/AICN came up with that one and it is the way to go.

You end 2 with Anakin getting married and pick up with his kid not knowing what happened in between.
Episode 5 gets the big vader reveal then you flash back to 3 to see how it all happened.
Finish with 6.

Think that is perfect way to go
