Yes there is. It's a matter of perspective. Is 2001 the first movie or the 4th movie in this set?

The outside is no doubt the inside front cover but the red/black image is the Revenge of the Sith picture. The Amazon shot shows the exact same thing.

I really hate the prequels, with a passion. The lack of basic proper story telling, the unbelievable whirlwind romance of AS/Leia, the wooden and frankly dire Hayden C in general, the cheese, the blatant cash grabbing by trying to appeal to literally everyone at the expense of the story, the ruining of Boba, the ruining of lightsabres, the ruining of yoda, the ruining of the force - I could go on and on and I know 90% of you will want to literally destroy me for my views as well as ask me to go into detail (don't bother, I won't)....

So why is it I can't bring myself to cancel my pre-order for the whole saga?! Even knowing I'll only watch the prequel once (because my wife likes them but she would be just as happy watching DVD) and knowing I'll only watch the bonus disc once?

It feels like I'd be selling myself short by not getting the whole saga even though I'm loath to do it Arghhhh! Something in me needs to see/hear it in HD, as if this time I might like them

Just wanted to get that off my chest - anyone else relate to this or am I going to get flamed for critisizing the sub standard kids movies, sorry, the PT.

BTW, if you ever get to a link that is forbidden, all that you have to do is highlight that link in your address bar and hit your *Enter Key*.

Then 'presto'! It should then load for you.

My god, I'm so glad to have discovered Star Wars with Episode I, even if I'm 31 now... I was more an Indy fan (and mostly a Horror movie fan) and I just never watched the trilogy seriously before Episode I in theater.

So, I've got it very easy, because I'll never feel insulted when I'll watch the Episodes I-III. To me, the prequel are the first movies, followed by the original trilogy. That's it! Ignorance is bliss!

Kinda the same thing here, im 22 and never saw the OT in theater or the way they originally were (except the Laser disc ports from the 06 release). just the special editions on VHS, and Episode V (SE) in theaters. I saw all I, II, III in theater and love them all. i never understood all the bashing

When I use this method in Firefox, I have never had a problem. Worked every time...including this last example.

As I said, the page before A New Hope has a border around it with the same colors as the cover. The pages in these books do not have borders. Only the inside of the front cover and back cover has a border. The page before A New Hope is the inside of the front cover. A New Hope is the first in the package. If these are packaged in release order then it make perfect sense. Either one of us could be wrong. The evidence I see points to my conclusion, but I am sure what you see points to your conclusion. Until the release neither of us can be sure. If its all the same, though, I will be sticking with my original assesment that A New Hope is first in the packaging. I will gladly ammend this if I am proven wrong on release day. I don't have any stock in it one way or the other. My original post on the matter was more to draw attention to a possible outcome if this is the case. People would be confused as to why A New Hope would be first. Little things cause the biggest debates in this fandom, and I coupd see that somehow fueling a fire.

With the first 3d theatrical re-release mere months away, Lucasfilm will most likely be making full on enhancements and additions/corrections to these. After all, they will need something for the ad campaign and a reason for the audience to go watch these months after the Blu Ray Release.

When they're finally released on 3d Blu Ray, they will most likely include all the bells and whistles (i.e. missing documentaries, better artwork etc).

This September release will be stellar quality, but based on previous versions.

The 3d re-release will most likely include williams' score adjustments, CG fixes, restored/additional scenes etc

Rex

Even assuming they do the 3-D thing for all the films... they'd get to the RotJ release sometime around January 2017. I'm not going to be too concerned about something that may or may not be coming out for Christmas 2017... especially when the main "bonus" may just be faked depth via 3-D conversion, something I personally have little interest for.

(As far as 'better artwork'... the art has been pretty dire for all SW releases since the DVD age. I have no reason to believe that it'll be great when/if a 3-D version is released.)

Let's just say that they had BETTER throw on a bunch of great documentaries and other bonuses on such a set. Because if it's just the movies in 3-D, it'll be the first SW home video release I skip since they started putting them out...

I stand corrected. Thanks for posting that.

About anikan killing the sand people, if a group of people kidnapped my mother and tortured and killed her I would probably do the same. I know it seems brutal considering children were killed, but none of us can imagine the pain and anguish we would feel in that situation. I would never harm a child, but a blind rage isn't hampered by morals and the lives of the innocent. It may be horrible what he did, but it wasnt entirely evil. It was human. I've never really been able to judge him for that action. Not to mention these weren't humans he killed. They were living sentient beings but not human. That distinction alone would make it easier to do what he did if we were in a blind rage. At the moment of his rage he viewed them as animals.

We were having a debate. I said A New Hope was first in the package and he was saying there were 3 pages before A New Hope.

Fine a discussion. The evidence I saw pointed to the arrangment being 456123. It was a plausible notion seeing as that is release order. Another poster was kind enough to post a picture with a better angle clarifying that it was in fact 123456. I was wrong. I will survive. Its not the first time I've been wrong, and it wont be the last.

This. I can't wait When I first heard about Blu-ray, I couldn't wait for Star Wars to come out. I'm also excited to catch TPM in 3D in the next few months. If done right, 3D is amazing. Good 3D shouldn't be confused with sub par conversions. ILM have been working on their 3D conversions for a while, so I'm expecting great things.

One feature that has not been mention on the blu-ray's of the star wars saga is BD Live. Do you think that will be added to the box set as a special feature?
