I believe the back of the denmark release pack mentioned earlier in the thread had region A,B,C on it, confimring region free. The Alien boxset, also from Fox was, so makes sense this will be also.

If these are blu ray shots, the good news is the blue tinge has gone from the blockade runner interior and the blacks appear to be 'uncrushed' again. You can even see the stitching on vaders cloak! Impressive, most impressive but no doubt people will still say this isn't the proof we are looking for. You can go about your business now, move along.
If those are BD shots, my VHS copies will look superior.

Those aren't shots from the blu-ray guys. They are really old production stills from forever ago.

Those are publicity stills, not BD grabs.

I'd assume shots 3 and 4 are screen shots, from what I don't know. The others are publicity stills. These look like screen captures as well. Jango looks quite impressive. Please note this site reduces the image but none of these pictures were 1920x1080 on the Amazon site to start with.

Agreed. They look comparable to a 720p image rather than 1080p, which is probably exactly what they are as their vertical resolution is 843p. I have scaled down hundreds of 1080p screen caps and they usually look better than those above.

Ain't that the truth! No way in hell are those BD shots, plus the R2/3PO one is just a publicity shot as well. Plus the aspect ratio is all wrong and there is no consistency between each image. The first one is the worst, whites look washed out with a hint of yellow tint. Blacks may not be crushed in any of them because they are washed out and closer to grey. If that site is trying to pass those off as BD screen grabs then they are either trying to be funny or idiots.

Extra resolution does no justice to here... He looks like some laughable XBOX video game character.

They're from Germany's Amazon site, nobody is trying to pass them off as anything but publicity stills be they press or screenshots. The Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith shots do look very good though.

I re-sized the two AotC pictures to match the DVD captures.

Is it just me or is that screenshot of Yoda from AotC with his saber out look very similar to the RotS Yoda? Did they update Yoda in AotC??

Either way, he looks very good.

I initially thought the same thing, but his robe doesn't have those fuss balls, and his ears lack the transparency of the ROTS Yoda, but it would perfect sense, as I am sure they would be using the ROTS for TPM, so the AOTC Yoda no longer makes any sense.

I hope it to be the ROTS Yoda. He was the definitive Yoda, and should be in all episodes IMO.

Can't wait to see the final results.
