well i'm loving the new trailer. things are looking very positive!

I have to say though - I'm not understanding a lot of the subtle and not-so-subtle negativity toward adywan. I see it here and i see it on tfn from people.

it's very snarky and very sarcastic.

Totally unnecessary in my view.

Love the menu designs for the bonus discs. The weekend of the 16th can't get here fast enough.

On the 16th, I take back ownership of my television from my 3 year-old.

And I agree with you.

But the 1982 VHS tape is a good reference in the sense that it was sourced from a print that was only 4 years old at the point it was telecined.
Plus the fact that it was not digitally manipulated in any way unlike the subsequent versions(1991 onwards)
"The likes of me"? It has been your arguments that are flawed, not ours, yet everytime it has been pointed out to you, you chose to ignore it or change the argument to suit your point. You do realise that even in the screenshots you keep posting you are proving our point that the sabre glows were never pink but red, don't you? The cores themselves in certain shots in the OT had a colour tint due to the rotoscoping method used at the time. This was more visible depending upon the brightness of the transfer used. But please go back and look at the main outer glow of the lightsabres and please tell me if they are red or pink. If you say pink then i think it's time for you to get a new monitor.

great find, thanks for posting. If that is the menu from the specual features disc then i wonder what the menus look like on the main movies? They do look very nice.

On the other hand, NTSC isn't exactly known for its color accuracy, so using an NTSC VHS tape as the benchmark for color reproduction is somewhat ridiculous.

Looking at the menu video it looks like the special features on disc 7 and 8 will be divided up from the different locations / planets from all 6 films.

Where is the new trailer?

P.S. Let's please create an Adywan v. the World subthread -- I feel like it's all I ever see in this one.

EDIT: Ah, found it. Looks great. Can't wait. Red lightsaber, pink lightsaber, I couldn't care less.

Seriously, don't waste your energy, some people are blind and prefer to stay that way.

Everyone who is looking for consistency.

You are not looking for consistency, you are looking for a reason to complain.

As for the distinction between pink and white:

Does Luke's constume look pink to you in this shot(also from the same 77' IB technicolor print).

It is white.

And if Vader's saber is Pink with a semi-red glow in this same cinematic print:

Then that is the way it always looked ----- hence the so called "colour of the lightsabers is ****ed up in 2004 DVD's " is pure disinformation.

Comprende?

As I posted yesterday, a lesson to all blu ray's produced, menus matter. They have clearly put some thought and effort in here, wonder why people are buying the separate trilogy sets when this looks worth the admission price alone. There looks to be some seriously good stuff on these extras discs.

I think they will be the first discs in, the films will have to wait

"The likes of adywan" = trolling

Seriously as I've aid before it's clear that people here and members on on theforce.net just have personal beefs with the guy for no reason. but thats what you get adywan for making and demanding everyone watch you starwars edit at gun point.
