I wish they would post some actual 1080p screen captures direct from the HD Masters.

I can picture it now. An additional 300 pages in a matter of a week from upset *cough* fans who will analyze each photo provided pixel by pixel. The one thing i'm sure we can all agree upon is that once the first official images start to emerge on the net that all hell will break loose in this thread....

We know a new transfer was done to create the 3D version of the film. And many new screenshots and videos are looking good. You can check the official site for a start:

The podrace sequence that went up last week is now in HD on the Star Wars Blu Ray site.

I really can't wait to compare the original trilogy's film elements, and TPM, to the digital recordings of II and III. Do you think that they will be manipulated to all look similar, or do you think they will all look as good as they can, uniquely?

Only one month to go.

Looking at the iPad Apps and the previews online, it appears that all the special features videos will be presented inside that blue-greenish-yellowish-orange box... Why not just a clean full widescreen video?

Still, I hope it's only for the previews... I hate when they do that on DVD/Blu-rays.

Regardless of your feelings on this Blu-Ray set (which I will not be buying unless it drops below $30-ish) is that it's only a matter of time until Darth Lucas milks the Star Wars saga again on Blu-ray sometime in the future (hey, he managed it twice in two years in DVD).

Because they were shot on SD.

So you're waiting until they sell you a complete set of 6 blu-ray movies for less than $30? That's less than $5 per Star Wars movie.

Good luck with that...

LOL... No joke on this one. You're never going to see the Star Wars BD Complete Sega for below $30 unless it's stolen or you get lucky and buy it used.

I think we can safely say that the Prequels will look and sound amazing on Blu-Ray, which is clearly a good thing, even though they will be the quintessential victory for style over substance

The Pod race scene is still one of my all time favorite scenes to show off your HT. I cannot imagine what it's going to sound like in lossless form

Agreed. No matter how partisan I am I am still looking forward to that. I think it will have Transformers levels of LFE etc.

I can't forgive the Prequels but the PQ/AQ will hopefully help me tolerate them

that was the once scene in the clip that really stood out to me, watching the video in 1080p

I tried to imagine how that scene would have looked in SD, but couldn't... I guess this is why lol
