I couldn't think which one sums up my feelings on the whole lightsabre issue....

About the Blu-rays, can they have the same kind of features as the recent iPad Apps? It would be nice to rotate the models around, I don't have an iPad. I watched Fast & Furious the other night and the U-Control commentries were a fun diversion. I haven't delved into Blu-ray special features much so I don't know their potential.

I don't know what to make of those German clips. It seems strange that ROTJ would have burned up subs. Also the TPM clip still looks to have the red tint like the DVD version, when we have seen clips that have shown that this tint has gone. Roll on 24 days so we can see what these movies really look like on blu-ray.

They really are keeping the TPM Yoda under wraps. Maybe they are under the impression that no one knows that they have replaced it with the digital version and are think it will be a big surprise. They have only shown Yoda from Eps 2 & 3 so far. Which is also a little worrying because no ESB footage of Yoda has been shown yet. I just prey that the rumours of the digital head replacement isn't true.

I suppose it could eject the pilots capsule and not just the pilot. Sort of like an escape pod. I am sure one of the nerds on here will elaborate further with detailed blueprints, working examples and maybe even footage!

I always thought it was just because the Death Star had it's own gravity and atmosphere and they were close enough if they ejected they would land on the Death Star and be safe from the vacuum, that was how I always figured it.

I used VLC without post-elaboration.

I think they might be replacing puppet yoda with digital yoda for the OT.

I can't see that happening, the internet couldn't take it.

The rules of gravity and life support don't apply to the Star Wars universe. I think we see pilots ejecting in Episode III and they don't have a life support suits on.

LOL this thread reminds me so much of Lord of the Rings Extended Edition-thread.

People there did nothing else than whine about the green tint in the Fellowship of the Ring, and here people are whining about the colour of Vader's lightsaber.
Sorry, but it's just kinda hilarious that here are nothing but whiners.

Don't make judgments out of screenshots, wait for the real deal. That green tint in the Fellowship of the Ring might looked bad in some invidual screenshots too, but it didn't bother (me) in the movie. Sure the movie was a bit darker in some of the the Shire scenes, but the quality was still amazing.

Wait until it's released guys.

I remember some guy even cancelling his order because of a green tint in a screenshot. I wonder when someone here is gonna do that because of a colour of a lightsaber.

They better not go that route, because Frank Oz's puppetry is what sold that character on the screen to begin with. I can understand Lucas wanting to replace the puppet from "Phantom Menace" for continuity's sake, but to do the same for "Empire" and "Jedi" would be a huge mistake IMO. Heck, the PT animators used the puppet footage from "Empire" as reference material to begin with, so replacing it would defeat the overall point.

I hope so i am kind of sick of people posting pictures and comparing them. You have waitied months for this set now all you have two do is wait a few weeks. Is that alot to ask from a Star wars fan ?

I'll be dissecting ANH first, then Empire, then Jedi. I won't be dissecting the PT, as I'm not buying it!

Going to line up the three prequels the first day, then the next day go through the OT. And I'm going to have to find some time to watch the Clone Wars Season Four premiere which premieres the same day this comes out.

If by "dissect", you mean intensely analyzing over every tiny, miniscule detail...then my answer would be "none". I'll probably view the films in episodic order, and enjoy them as usual. The only differences I'll be consciously looking for are the fixed lightsabers, Yoda in Episode 1, and whether the cockpit transparency on Hoth was reinstated or not. Otherwise, I plan on sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the ride.

I'll be viewing them in order, too (unless my little kids get excited and want to skip ROTS and go directly to ANH after AOTC).

I won't be looking for any changes or fixes or anything else. The 1997 SE's are as ingrained in my memory now as the originals were.

It'll take me a month to watch everything...

The six movies (one every day), interrupted by the clone wars animated and CGI movie/series seasons 1-3 (season 3 is the last thing I'l watch since the release is only in october), and the holiday special, the two animated DVD of Droids and Ewoks, and the two Ewoks movies... Too bad the season 4 of clone wars will not be available in Canada before some time... I wish I had the Cartoon Network...

I still remain unsure as to whether the films work better in episodic order or release order, but I rarely do it in episodic order - which means I'll do it in episodic order this time to make it more of an "event" for me.

And I haven't seen The Phantom Menace since we converted to DVD back in the day, so it's been a while.
