Well, yeah, there is that...

This whole debate was started by someone complaining about how Lucas chose to have the sliding holders.

Whoever chose the pictures are irrelevant, Lucas did not design the "structure" of the box.

These two issues are a tiny fraction of what was wrong with the 2004 discs.

Thanks for all of the help - NOT!

Anyone else having this issue, seems to be IE related as I downloaded Safari and the site works fine. Just to let you know.

I was wondering what site you were talking about. Sounds interesting.

And yes, IE is the most frustrating (dare I say worst) web browser I've ever used.

I've never used anything other than Safari on my Mac (which I'm on now), and resorted to installing Firefox on my PC.

Don't know if anyone has played with ask vader yet, but got a bonus of Darth watching Padme give birth, holding up two fingers and looking puzzled LOL

And everything that was wrong with the 2004 discs were a tiny, tiny fraction of the quality of the entire film series as a whole. Most normal people won't even notice those flaws if they watch the movies ten times over.

It's just that when angry nerds freeze frame everything, examine every inch of film with a magnifying glass, then do side-by-side comparisons with multiple versions... they make a big deal about every little flaw. I watched those DVDs at least once a year since '04, and I barely noticed those flaws until I started reading about them in forums like this one. It's one thing to point out flaws. But people spending every waking moment of their life complaining about them is just too much.

I mean honestly, how many people actually noticed that the rear channels for the soundtrack in ANH were flipped? I'm guessing that 99.999% of the angry nerds never even noticed it until it was pointed out to them. And ever since, they've spent every opportunity to whine about it to everyone who would (and wouldn't) listen. Angry nerds are angry.

Oh well. I give up.

On the topic of the digital yoda, that does look better but I still think it looks out of place.

Everyone is going nuts again over some MARKETING clips on a MARKETING site. Haven't we got enough evidence from the incoming previews that most of this material has been culled from the 1080p digital copies of the 2004 transfers that have now been extensively retouched by ILM. Matte lines, audio issues, colour timing etc are all from the original scanned '04 negative they are using, not the '11 transfer that has been retouched and put on the discs.

Anyone wanting to debunk this theory because of the new found digital episode 1 yoda needs to remember he has been around some time, in fact since 2008 when they were doing the Star Wars Musical Journey tour. In fact, it was that very clip!

Calm down people!

Yes finally a CGI Yoda in episode 1 TPM. The news on the blu-ray box set keeps getting better and better each day as September 16th gets here fast.
