Sorry, couldnt view video, but if it is the clip of Yoda cgi in TPM, it us from the Star Wars Musical Journey footage from 2008-2009, so not representative of the blu ray either.

Uhhh.. Incorrect It's from Lucasfilms visualizer website. Try again. That's what all the clips are from.

They're ALL from the blu-ray's.

And no they are not. That Yoda clip from the visualiser is frame for frame from the musical journey concert footage from 2008-2009 and every other one seems to originate from the '04 1080p digital print, hence matte lines, garbage mattes and colour issues all apparently corrected on the blu.

How many more times people? The marketing material to date has not revealed blu footage, all the preview reviewers have basically confirmed this.

Add to the fact the Humdinger glitch was not even fixed until it was pointed out at Comic Con... that's barely three weeks ago. So I doubt that outside of the bonus material stuff, and the clips from TPM, we've really gotten a look at legit footage.

Its a damn good thing they overheard someone mentioning the Humdinger glitch at comicon or it would have remained in this release.

No, what Merlinpants has been saying (and saying and saying and saying and saying) is that the screenshot scientists shouldn't go too batshit crazy using the various clips (even the 'official' ones) to analyze things like black levels and gamma and color correction and blah blah blah blah because those clips are not necessarily 100% representative of the finished product.

Those things are not going to change so substantially in the "official" release. They're STILL going to look VERY similar to these clips.

No one is saying that these are 100% representitive of the detail and resolution of the final discs. However, color correction isn't going to change between these clips and the final discs. If you believe that, I've got a box set to sell ya.

Of course they aren't making changes

the disc would have gone gold ages ago. Marketing would have put this site together ages ago as well, tested it, tweaked it and finally released it using available HD footage from the available '04 transfer. That's my opinion, but where on the site does it state this is blu ray footage? It doesn't because that would be false marketing. The content may be the same, but the picture and quality won't be.

No what he's say is that publicity materials for this release were assembled months ago. This website was probably developed a couple of months ago and the footage and stills used from the site use the existing 2004 HD transfer with some minor tweaks to give a visitor a taste of what the discs look like. I'm sure some of the finished footage was given to the publicity department as it was available, but to make some final declaration that this is from the blu-ray's is a little premature.

Yes. Let's release footage to promote a blu-ray boxed set THREE WEEKS before its release and use DVD footage.

That makes a helluva lot of sense.

You should have been a marketing major, since you know so much.
