Until the next format anyway.
I'm not doing the next format. I just don't see the point of doing the next format.

Fast forward to 17:35

Kevin Smith hadn't seen it yet.

He says "Who gives a ffff....
It's his movie to do it to."

He doesn't care.

Don't hold me to it as it's been 5 years, but I remember $70. Could have been $60 though.

They also neglected to mention the inclusion of the commentaries (on the Special Edition discs) and the Lego Star Wars previews.

Just fast forward. He says who cares and its lucas' movies to do with what he wants. He also says that lucas is making changes for the future generations: which I would agree.

Kevin Smith basically said what I've been saying all along about these changes.

First, he basically said "Who gives a shit?" about the added dialogue. Second, he acknowledged that, at times, these changes have bothered him but he admires the craftsmanship of Lucas, because he's constantly reworking the films to perfect them. He said that Lucas just thinks on a different plain than others.

He doesn't believe he's ruining his legacy and the kicker is that he thinks Lucas is doing these changes for our kid's generation, not the generation who grew up with Star Wars. He's trying to perfect them for the future generations...which is what I've been screaming since '04.

He thinks the whole thing is about nothing because the memories never go away.

Why would I care what one overweight bearded director whose best years are long past has to say about the new-and-disimproved Star Wars BD editions being put out by another overweight bearded director whose best years are long past?

He's pretty accurate.

Now we can all shut up and go spend some time with our significant others and enjoy our lives, oui?

Kevin Smith is the man, I mean he admits that he doesn't like some of the changes, but he doesn't get hung up on them. The guy's looking at the big picture, I just wish they would include the originals to make people happy.

However, due to space limitations on the discs, only the German dub is lossless:

Thanks for the reply and info scamander.

Nice to see someone in the industry with a level head.

I always liked his comments about Anakin in the Prequels. That it's Exactly how someone like Vader would have been in his Youth.

I'm sure most of the biggest monsters of history were unstable in their youth. Found the quote:

Kevin Smith: "People keep complaining that this huge, evil villian, the scourge of the galaxy, started out as some whiney little teenager, but you know what, the scourge of the galaxy WOULD start out as a whiney little teenager. The greatest villian of all time would probably start as some emo kid."
