Fascinating that you're a Hollywood writer - I'm sure you have lots of information to share, and as a student who writes screenplays in his spare time, I'm looking forward to hearing anything you have to say. And learning a bit.

Much respect.
I wasn't posting the link to be mean, I was just posting it as a curiosity piece... and of course, some yahoo fanboy jumps me for it, lol.

Of course treatments can change... but usually not AFTER funding comes in.

I wrote a treatment today, actually, for a Steve Carrell comedy. I'd rather just write the script, but at least they can pre-sell the idea before any major work goes into it.

What all have you written so far?

Right, that was what I assumed about treatments.

Interesting. In the interest of not derailing the thread any further than the two of us may already have, may I suggest taking this to a PM? I'd love to maintain a conversation - send me one if you're interested.

Cheers!

Jesus. Page 1337.

Anyone wanna bet this thing will hit page 2000? If it does, I think It'll be a record.

I mean, not even the thread over on the Force.Net is this out of control.

There are over 20,000 posts here. Meanwhile, theForce.Net's got about close to 7,000. And supposedly, that's where most of the obsessive fans can be found.

I know! And people were worried about the thread reaching 1138 by September 16th

I think we'll be pushing 2138 by then.

When the news of all the changes (and blu-ray rips) came out, there were about 2-3 days in a row where we nearly did 100 pages per day

It seems to have slowed down now (with the absence of kenkraly and Beast LOL)

The Criterion Collection Thread is at 1847 pages with another 10,000 posts. It will hit 2,000 pages first

It'll pick up like crazy after the review is posted. Which won't be long now.

I think the mods have also been busy deleting a lot of useless / unrelated posts in this thread.

IIRC, every video release has had changes. For example, the theatrical ESB, at the opening shot of the final scene (The Rebel Fleet), there was no music. In every release after the unaltered theatrical release, that tidbit, that also plays when Yoda talks to Luke before lifting the X-Wing out of the water (Yoda and the Force), plays during the opening shot, segueing into The Rebel Fleet music. There are many more. I am only 24, therefore, I never saw any of these movies at their releases, but I know the tweaks started long before 1997.

Ok, I have been away for a while, do we have any actual screen grabs from the actual discs posted anywhere yet?

ZonaDVD posted some. They've been posted numerous times over the past 30 pages I think.

They look kind of small to get any kind of actual representation of the discs. They do look good, but I would like to see some big screen grabs!!!

I honestly can't believe SOMETHING hasn't been posted.

Oh okay. I see what you're asking for. I haven't seen anything like that.

I've said it before - I think the ZonaDVD screencaps look incredible despite their size, but that's because I'm looking for contrast changes more than anything. And colour changes. They seemed to be representative of that, at least for me. and I could certainly see a huge improvement in fine detail.
