Didn't they actually add a sound effect of the trooper hitting his head in one of the SEs?

I am fortunate in having been alive and well for the 1977 release. I remember seeing Star Wars again in late 79 or early 80 and viewing the first trailer for TESB and being glued to the front of my seat. The experience of cinema are greatly different from that of today. You know every detail 2 years before it comes out. You can ignore them, but by and large people of today seem to think it some competition to know it first, see it first, first, first, first that it becomes anticlimactic. I think it's the reason so many people dislike the prequels because there was an amazing amount of build up, leaked footage, music videos, etc before TPM premiered. I know many have sweetened to the prequels to some degree, but the backlash from fans was enormous. The OT had much less of this because there was no theforce.net or starwars.com, you had bantha tracks, starlog, fangoria, etc. You were left to wonder to your friends, is Darth Vader Luke's father until May 25th, 1983.

Ha, I couldnt even consider purchasing a lobot figure as a kid because there was no way that I would pretend that he could remotely be bad-ass, just boring. I think I perceived him as a Star Trek action figure (even before the existance of Patrick Stewart Picard) that snuck into the Star Wars action figure line. My favorite star wars figures were probably bounty hunter disguise Leah and Boba fett.

I don't think this has been changed from what I have seen

Makes sense. I didn't expect that he'd really remove the head bang. Especially after giving Jango one in AotC.

Man are we gullible today or what? I can spot this as being a photoshopped imaged a mile away. Look at the very top right hand corner of the image....I will say no more....

Yup, but once again they got another page of posts from people here to sit back on their own forum and have a childish giggle about.....sigh.

Oh and be warned they also did a video of it, so expect that in the next page or two.

Oscar worthy? Not by a long shot. Wooden? Return of the Jedi, yes. The others, not by a long shot. I doubt anyone would have wanted him for Indiana Jones if they thought his performance in Star Wars or The Empire Strikes Back were wooden. I guess it's a good thing that Indiana Jones wasn't made after Jedi, maybe Spielberg would have said hell to the no.

He was always one of my favorites. But then I always liked the weird characters more.

Of course, the Hoth Snowtrooper was both my Brother and I's favorite action figure. Though his waist cape eventually earned him the role of a superhero named Supertrooper. It was a running gag of our imagination that Princess Leia would be getting attacked by Boba Fett, or Darth Vader, or something... and scream for help. "Help Supertrooper!! Help!" And Snowtrooper would fly to the rescue.... but stop halfway there for a coffee break. "Oops, looks like it's time for a coffee break!" And by the time he finally arrived, Princess Leia was always already dead. Don't look at me like that, we were kids!

i don't care what they have changed as long as it's got good video & especially good audio then I'll be a happy camper glad to have given my money for it. I won't have one complaint and no, i can't wait for it to be released. i'm neither for george or against him. i'm a fan of the movies in whatever form they happen to be in on blu-ray once i get them.

i'll be thrilled once i crank them up on my gear in lossless 6.1 and 1080p and that's all i care about cause lifes too short to worry about the small stuff!

Bousch was pretty cool with that removable helmet. I like many of my friends had every single Star Wars toy. I mean they made the figure for the zit faced guy in ROTJ (Prunface) for whatever reason. I always wondered if there were scenes with that guy other than seeing it during the Ewok celebration sequence.

Lobot's actually my favorite character from the Star Wars universe. Not sure why, but he just seemed really cool and mysterious, and I liked how he was loyal to Lando without question(unlike Lando himself with respect to Han Solo).

And before anyone give me the Expanded Universe nonsense about how that head device forced him to obey Lando's commands, I don't give a crap. All I know is in the movie he was Lando's aide and that's it.

I find it best to just ignore the EU stuff in general. It's easier to enjoy the films.

Especially since they had to give every background member of the Cantina and Jabba's Palace some elaborate backstory.

Plus they killed Chewbacca. Who deserved a better end than being crushed by a moon to save Solo's awful kid.

The head bang redo is definitely a fake. I posted it previously. It's part of a set of mock changes others on the web (4chan, reddit, etc.) jokingly predicted after hearing about the "Noo!" and Ewok blinks.
