Nope. Those screenshots were all I could find.

I don't know if this is a crazy idea, but what about a locked thread that only moderators can post in, with the latest real screenshots, videos, news etc.

Then we could have the full dose of this thread going here and there, along with a summarized "news" thread. Any mods up for that task?

Looking at the Episode I screenshots, I can't get over how dated a lot of the cg effects look. Things really have come a long way these past 12 years.

I assume you mean the HDTV version. Look at the fan type thing on the big beast's back. It looks terrible on the HDTV cap.

I have no idea if this is a good comparison or not. I just found these online.

Hey crs I have another little question for you about the set. On the A Conversation with the Masters bonus feature is Conversation misspelled like it was in the promotional image that was released.

I really do hope they fixed that misspelling. That's just facepalm worthy.

But that's one of the extras that I'm most excited about. Probably the extra I'll watch first.

Respect goes both ways. Deriding anyone who speaks out against Lucas or the current iteration of SW as a non-true fan, or a whiner/complainer, or a hater, or someone who doesn't appreciate true art is not conducive to positive discussion either.

I recall numerous dismissive, disrespectful posts towards Adywan and others who point out legitimate problems with A/V quality.

Liking TPM isn't a sin - hating anyone who doesn't like the prequels as much as the OT or who points out the obvious script-/production-/story-/character-related flaws is, however.

Personally, I think it's all anxiety and excitement for the release on Sept. 16, regardless if you're buying the set or not. Everyone has an opinion.

Women's bodies are under stress when pregnant in any case. Many women have to stay in bed the last month of pregnancy and most are advised not to fly in the 9th month. Plus, while physically fit, she had a very small body to deliver twins. How do you know that she didn't rupture while delivering?

So you can say she died of a broken heart or you can say she died from the affects of the force field. How do you know that the force field didn't cause a blood clot which would lead to a stroke or heart attack?

And I have no idea why you're comparing this to reality TV. Are you saying that Lucas should have written the character to be more like the trailer trash or big-city loudmouth *****s who populate reality TV?
MUCH RESIST URGE ...TO..POST..OFF..TOPIC..

GUAAAHHH.

ok I'm weak.

You misunderstood me. I would love for that to be the explanation and it sure seemed to build to that and then we got "she lost will to live". not "this girl got choked she's gonna die" or "she ruptured" or "health complications here" no we get "she lost will to live". There was no "physical" cause, as that medical droid ruled that possibility out. Now Lucas could've said nothing, and would have let fans decide for themselves. Which would've been more subtle and less wanky by a parsec.

my comment about reality was just a joke. Just what would other shows or movies be like if all women died that easily, or literally from that. My first thought was women dropping dead on Maury every episode "Antoine, you ARE the father...oh no..Lindsay just died. Well Atoine you're back to 99 problems."".

Now THAT is interesting. Explains the lack of the THX Optimizer then. Very cool.

well the HDTV looks horrible in comparison. But man does that scene look dated. Nothing ages worse than CGI it seems. Not sure most would give that a good rating on a PS3 game. It looks like video game.

As funny as it sounds, this is actually a serious question that I'd like to ask all of the forum's members. Here it goes...

In Return of the Jedi, what if George Lucas decided that Princess Leia's sexy metal bikini was way too revealing and inappropriate for the younger viewers and covered her up in a digital shirt, or a dress?

Would you all still buy the OT on Blu-Ray, or would all hell break lose??

But yeah, George really gave Padme a crappy end. Not cool.
Hmm . . . You're absolutely right.

Well, with Padme dead, perhaps Yoda and Obi-Wan would have taken it upon themselves to name the babies. Or maybe their adoptive parents would just name them, which make sense too.

And the whole thing about Leia having memories of her mother is just another one of Lucas's messups. At this point in time, people have just accepted that Leia's probably referring to her adoptive mother.

Finally voted and will NOT be buying the BD set, even though I want it really bad. I could have lived with the OT the way it was if they had just fixed the problems from the 2004 DVD releases. But, George had to go and play with them again and that was the final straw for me. I will not waste any more money on Star Wars until I can get the movies that originally played in the theaters and not George Lucas' latest pet project.

This angers me and makes me laugh out loud all at the same time. That would be the most ridiculous change in Star Wars history if he were to pull something like that. Yes, it would be worse than any "Noooo!" he could conjure up.

And Yes, I believe this thread would be in a total uproar.

While anything is possible, the outfit was showing the transition of Leia from a girl to a woman ( Lucas said something like this in one of the docs). Its one of the iconic things that even non Star Wars fans would find issue with.
