You can have the commentary subtitles running while watching the film, without the commentary actually running.
Are the titles on the actual image or in the letterbox black bar area?

Hey Merlin, did you notice the battledroid voices changed in episodes 1 and 2 to sound more like their episode 3 and clone wars counterparts? Or are they the same robotic tones as before?

That scene is LAUGHABLE. Even Ewan McGregor comes off like he's in a high-school play! When he says "Your new Empire??" it sounds like some voice Seth McFarlane does in Family Guy. Then Anakin's "don't make me kill you"... my god. I don't know if I can even buy this 'saga' anymore, I may just stick to the OT as per my original plans. This is seriously cringe-inducing stuff.

Hilarious that people want to love these enough to ignore such obviously terrible over-acting and even claim it's "good". It's seriously hard to watch.
That was a horrible scene. But ROTS is full of them. BTW, isn't Obi-Wan telling Anakin that "only a Sith deals in absolutes" kind of an absolute itself? Just wondering.

Let's also debate lightsaber weights.

He said that they are in the image area and follow the characters position on the screen.

Sorry about this. I hadn't read the remaining posts until I posted.

I use a 2.35:1 screen so I'm happy about this news!

Oh -- yeah those people are totally delusional lol. While the acting in the OT isn't necessarily Oscar-worthy all the time, it does make the acting in ROTS look like a high school play using middle schoolers.

I dunno, I will probably still buy the stupid saga but man I had forgotten how groan-worthy some of that dialogue was. Eeeesh. Especially when it's McGregor and Portman delivering like that. Does not compute.

You don't love the acting, ok, so that wasn't regarding you.

Some are too hard to overlook. I remember reading the TPM script before I saw the movie and it honestly didn't seem like the dialogue was that bad in written form(although Jar Jar's made no sense). But that dinner scene was freaking horrendous in the actual film. Anakin came off as a fun-loving, kind-hearted little kid in the script and Jake Lloyd just brutalized nearly every line. Crappy acting can ruin even the best of screenplays which no Star Wars movie(even Empire) has ever been the beneficiary of.

Man, I was laughing so hard.
The Hitler thing has been way overdone, but this one is actually hilarious and pretty well done imo.

Thanks

Sorry work called LOL. The alien translations appear in the middle bottom of the screen, subtitles for the hard of hearing follow the character on screen.

Eh? It's about the release in the title, I don't see how it can possibly be "off-topic", but you're right, if it's anything that might fan the flames and make a certain sect of people unhappy (even if I wasn't posting it for such a reason), mods like to make examples. I will delete those to be safe.

How'sabout this old chestnut for "on topic":

I can't wait to see all 6 movies in The Saga of George Lucas' Original Vision™ in glorious 1080p High Definition with 6.1 DTS HD Master audio on September 16th!

All hail our bearded overlord!

Same as before, but then again I have no reference to hand as to what they sounded like? They are still robotic tones Roger Roger

The problem in acting in the prequel trilogy is directly related to the Anakin Skywalker caracter. Some will blame Natalie Portman's portrayal of Padme and she is a bit stiff but she's at her stiffest when in front of either the god-awful Jake Lloyd or Keanu Reeves inspired Hayden Christensen. How can you act convincing in front of a vacuum of human emotions like him?

And don't mention Ewan McGregor. He's just in another league. He's got great imagination to act with the CGI heavy sets and the dummy known as Heyden Christensen. And to say that they could have gotte someone taller, bigger and better at acting in Chris Hemsworth. Sad.

Samsung 51" 1080p plasma, sony BD wifi player and sony DA2400ES amp in 7.1 setup

All brand new apart from sony amp which was too darn good to replace

The only calibration done on the TV was using the THX calibration tools on a pixar Blu ray
