Yeah, I know. I am not worried about it not getting here on Friday I am just overly anxious and thought there might be a slim chance I might get it tomorrow but if it did say shipping then maybe I could stop checking my order every 5 mins.

Like my orders usually do from Amazon, it probably won't ship until ~7 PM the night before. Doesn't matter as long as it's at my house Friday when I get home!

Could be worse. Not only will I be working Friday, but I will be working Saturday as well, and normally I don't work weekends. But there's some special project junk going on that I have to be there for. So, I probably won't get a ton of Star Wars watching in this weekend the way things are looking. If I am lucky, I might get in one or two of the movies and maybe some bonus features.

Maybe not in this lifetime.
Wouldn't be surprised if the DVDs of the original trilogy were included with the individual releases to grab more sales. Lucas will most likely never remaster the unaltered versions, but that doesn't mean he won't make money off what is already available.

Mine says this:
Not yet shipped
Delivery Estimate: September 22, 2011 - September 24, 2011

Then again I don't have Amazon Prime, which I have always felt to be a money grab.

It really depends on how often you order from there really. For me it is worth it because I order movies every week of the year sometimes twice or three times a week. If I went to a B&M store every time like that I would spend well over 80 bucks a year just in gas but if someone just orders every now and then I would agree it is not worth it then.

So you folks going to take a chance to have this shipped to you and getting it on release day if it hasn't shipped yet even though it is the same price as in retail stores?

For me definitely with Amazon Prime they make sure you get it on release day plus I don't have to pay taxes on it either so 79.99 even.

Amazon offers release date shipping. Usually my release date orders don't ship until the day before anyway. Thankfully, amazon has a few distribution centers in PA. :-)

So what is the general consenus for the PQ scoring of each of these films so far? It is too hard to go back now and find who provided scores and I lost track as well.

I usually would order from amazon with prime, I wanted the Vader T-shirt from Best Buy, so I preordered from there. Not a horrible deal...

I order from Amazon all the time. I just can't justify an extra $80 a year so I can get items 2-3 days sooner. To me that's a ripoff.

I am not really taking any chance at all. I know it will be on my house on Friday. I do like visiting the stores, but just in taxes I am looking at $6 more to buy the set (at the $79.99 price). If I were staying home on Friday to see them, then Amazon would not be an option as I would want the movies as erly in the day as possible.

Now that I think about it, with the amount I've spent on Amazon over the years I must have saved easily a couple hundred bucks in tax that I would normally pay in a local store.

I have free Amazon Prime through the Amazon mom program (If you have a baby, it really saves to buy all your diapers, ect. at Amazon) so I get free Prime and release date shipping on everything. Thank god for Amazon.

Factor in the gas youd be spending to run to the store every time you want a bluray, and factor in your time as well. Dont forget about the insane holiday shopping season. It pays for itself and more. Granted, if you dont buy things regularly, its not worth the money. Otherwise, its silly to miss out.
