Seeing R2D2, the Star Destroyers, the lightsabre, and the X-Wing for the first time inspired my imagination to heights that none of the sequels ever matched. Unfortunately, people who got into Star Wars watching the sequels first would've been desensitized to all the cool stuff introduced in the original film.
I see what you mean. I actually didn't sit down and watch the Original Trilogy all the way through until last summer. Growing up, my mom hated Star Wars so we never owned the movies in my household. So yeah, I ended up missing out on that experience.

A New Hope is still my second favorite of the series.

The guy who did these is a member here (I think). It might be worth PM'ing him and asking nicely.

He's taken shots before and after the scene you're asking for but he missed out the one you wanted!

I might have got my wires crossed slightly, the chap I was thinking of is rybev, he has a site with screen-captures too. Ironically he's got shots before and after the scene you requested as well. Click on his name to PM him and here's a link to his site and the A New Hope captures.

Hopefully one of them can help you out!

Go for it.
It'll be nearly the same price if you get them seperately.
Might as well get the Bonus Disks.

Hi shameless,
Since you enjoy them, I'd say go for it. I reckon it's going to be a while before we see new masters of the existing films — maybe we'll see repackaging (and I think the steelbook sets are examples of that), but still with the same masters.

I got the boxed set cheap myself when a national brand chainstore in my country was winding down, but if I were to buy them anew, I'd probably look at getting the two trilogy sets and not worrying about the big set with the extras on DVD, most of which I find pointless. (Strictly personal opinion, though.) But I guess it depends on comparing the prices.

The steelbooks of the two trilogy's r coming out April 8th I think. If u order from amazon.co.uk they r cheaper than the saga and the cases could be collectible at some point maybe. They r also region free and steelbooks r cool.

Tom "Billy Jack" Laughlin on his praise for the direction of the original Star Wars:
sad to see him so frail these days, consideing the top notch shape he was in when he made the Billy Jack series

I'm not looking forward to when Disney starts releasing Star Wars on Blu Ray. They'll all be barebones like Wreck-It-Ralph and Avengers

But they MIGHT get better looking Transfers done In-House and not Lowry's.
Who knows, they may bring the Adawyn Team.... Wishful thinking....

All I know, is, I'm refusing to buy the movies as they currently are...

If they were to somehow release the original theatrical cuts of the films, I wouldn't care about special features.
