No, they probably screwed themselves over by putting a trilogy label on the whole saga's rack.

(Actually $29.96, but I wasn't going to complain about the 3 cents.)
What a steal!

Time just flew by for me and it seemed better than I remembered it from a couple of years back. The CGI in the main looked great - a noticeable jump up from Phantom Menace.

Im watching them in chronological order so it only gets better and better..On to Sith next and then the original trilogy. Cant wait!
I still think as a whole The Phantom Menace is a better film than Attack Of The Clones. The duel between Darth Maul on Naboo is probably one of the best if not the best lightsaber fight in the whole saga, and dat music.

I can't stand Anakin in AOTC, he's a right annoying git and the romance is poorly executed too. If I were Padme I would have slapped him after hearing some of the stuff he came out with.

Anakin was much better in Revenge Of The Sith, which is definitely the best film out of the prequels.

So I'm watching Star Wars with my current girlfriend ... she's never seen it ... she knows the whole "Luke I am your father" quote so I decided 1 thru 6 was the order we would watch ... we are about to start EP3 and she has no idea that Anakin is Vader or that the republic is about to fall and become the Empire ... kinda cool ... (should I have used spoiler quotes??? )

If 20th Century Fox can't release the 3D movies to theaters, why not put them on blu ray? I'd love to get 3 4 and 5.

Has there ever been any firm confirmation that they even completed the 3D conversions for them? From everything I've seen, once Disney took over the franchise they suspended all the 3D re-release plans and work and are focusing all their weight towards Episode 7....

Did it ring up at that price or did you show them that was the price tag it had on the shelf?

Star Wars Celebration Europe II is having special screenings of the 3D version of Attack of the Clones, so at least we know they got that far.

I have a quick question on the Complete Saga set, I just bought my copy and watched Ep:1-4 with no problem on my ps3. I then try and play Ep:5 & I get a " cannot play video" message so I try Ep:6 & and the bonus disc's they played just fine. I then tried Ep:5 and this time started just fine. just was wanting to see if anyone else has problems with theirs?

It's Fox. They make discs that take hours to load.

I have a Playstation 3 and a Sony blu-ray player and with both of them I have to put the discs in, load them and then turn the player off and then back on to get the Star Wars and Alien Anthology discs to load.

Can one of my fellow Star Wars nerds quickly sum up the difference between the series Clone Wars and The Clone Wars. I know one is a 2d cartoon and one uses 3d computer images but does the new 3d series pick up where the old one ended or are they 2 completely different series? Which one is better?

Two different series ... one was micro episodes (about 3 to 5 min) organized into 2 volumes ... animated in samurai Jack style animation ... the other is 3D animation that has ran 5 seasons now ... both are GREAT!!! and both have their moment that are better than the other ... they contradict each other at points, and the 3D style one is considered "cannon"

The "2D" Clone Wars is a micro-series -- originally George Lucas was going to let the first batch be only be 1 minute long each until he heard that Genndy Tartakovsky was going to be heading them up and then he upped them to 3 minutes each. I think Lucas said something along the lines of 'Oh, the guy who did Samurai Jack' before upping the time limit. I believe the second batch of the micro-series batch around 5 minutes a chapter.

Tartakovsky was originally working on the Clone Wars half-hour series -- at a minimum you can still see his influence on character designs as Obi-Wan, Anikan, and others are pretty much 3D rendered versions of the micro-series depictions.

Clone Wars is a 2D animated cartoon with Genndy Tartakovsky at the helm, while The Clone Wars was started with a 3D animated film that was released theatrically (and on BD) which led into a series on BD (and DVD, but stick with the BDs). Clone Wars is on two DVDs and is shorter as a whole than The Clone Wars, therefore a good part of it is bridging the gap between AOTC and ROTS. The Clone Wars, on the other hand, allows for lots of exploration into worlds, characters, and stories the likes of which were impossible in the films or Clone Wars, for The Clone Wars is much longer. Due to Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm, The Clone Wars was shut down, which is awful news. I am sure they planned to make more than five seasons so I hope Dave Filoni is able to finish the series, maybe directly to Blu-ray.

EDIT: Both are really entertaining so I recommend both!

Default Why don't blu-rays include trailers?

I was ready to ditch my Star Wars DVD's until I checked Amazon's comparison chart and saw that the blu-ray set did not include the trailers.

For this reason I will not buy the blu-ray set. I don't understand why Lucas would make a complete blu-ray set with documentaries and not include this one simple thing that I like most about DVD extras.

I expect the theatrical trailers with my movies.
