On a side note, they should get Charles Dance to be a Sith Lord

The atmosphere has to be important as well.

I'd be really happy if the filmmakers can get it as good as The Empire Strikes Back.

That film's still got the best atmosphere out of all the Star Wars films so far imo, followed very closely by A New Hope.

Agreed.

Realistically, hopefully it can be better than any of the prequels which seem to hold up less over time IMO. The one holding up the best of the three prequels is Phantom Menace which I used to think was the worst of them! Go figure.

I agree with this. Other than Jar Jar it really is a good film. As far as entertainment factor goes it's hard to beat all of the action in Revenge of the Sith. I can barely stand Attack of the Clones as it's mostly a snooze fest.

I definitely like The Phantom Menace a lot more then I used to, I think it's underrated.

The throne room duel with Darth Maul in particular more than makes up for the issues that the film has imo.

Revenge Of The Sith is still my favourite of the Prequel Trilogy though, I actually think that Attack Of The Clones is the worst Star Wars film.

Originally, it was ROTS>TPM>>>AOTC, but now it's TPM>ROTS>>>AOTC for me.

When I saw AOTC at IMAX shortly after the regular theatrical viewing, they trimmed something like 20 minutes (or more?) from it and the pacing was improved. I think at that time the IMAX projectors could not exceed a certain length of film because they got too hot.

I watched the Blu not too long back and felt rather bored through a good part of the movie.

I saw that too, and I felt kinda gipped. It felt like watching a IMAX Highlights reel.

I've read that the script writer had been fired and JJ was writing the script, not good news imho. plus pushing the date back 6 months. I'm hoping for a good film but I doubt we will get one. JJ is a Star Wars fanboy and won't focus on story enough.

Give me a break, he's a good writer. He wrote Super 8, some of the best episodes of ALIAS, he helped write M:I:III, LOST, and others.

Let me guess, you don't like the new STAR TREK films. Well, he didn't write those.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Weird Al songs:

Actually I liked the new Star Trek films. I would just rather have Lawrence Kasdan write it himself.

+1. I sure wish Dreamcatcher, which he also wrote, would get a BD release.

I doubt it will ever go on sale because they need to money to pay for the blinking Ewok. Also rocks don't just appear and disappear for cheap.

That's a great price!
I believe, historically, Star Wars, on any format, never really experienced any great discounts. I wonder if that would change IF Disney were to work out a deal with Fox and gain possession of everything?
