Who shoots first?

While in the cantina, Han is confronted by Greedo, a bounty hunter looking to collect money owed to gangster Jabba the Hutt. The stand-off ends in blaster-fire, and the fried corpse of Greedo.

Grammatically works for both circumstances. Blaster fire from just Han, blaster fire from both Greedo and Han. Here's hoping

At least we saw a picture of Digital E1 Yoda already. So that will hopefully be old news by the release date.

Still.... saying he sucks over a packaging design is silly. It's not like he created it. That's more Fox's suggestion.
Can't say it worked out this way for me. Two were scratched upon opening. One I've scratched myself (not by improper handling mind you). I've since put the discs in their own blu-ray cases. I don't mind. They're up there beside the box. The scratches were so minor it wasn't even worth returning the set for, or even worrying about.

But, I can't help but wonder if it turned out even worse for others. As the packaging itself does make it easy for dust or other particles to get trapped in the slot, and then scratch the disc later.

Does anyone know how to get the visualiser to work, it just gets stuck on analysing scenes for me. Also the leaderboard is blank. Only able to look at the duels section?

Works fine on my iphone, so it can't be a flash problem. Anyone know which plug in I need?

Hey look!

Wow! Both Jabba's look identical.

If it wasn't for Solo being in that one pick, I would have a hard time telling which movie is which.

The UK set is NOT individual cases. It is a Digistack. This has been repeated ad naseum.

My bad. The main point of my post was to provide a solution for someone who wanted the complete set in non-digibook form.

The colours and everything look spot on, but I can still see the matte lines. Meaning if you've "optimized" your TV and the lines are gone, it's not optimized properly for the rest of the film.
I calibrated my projector a long time ago using Avia and I cannot see any mattes. Also, the rest of the movie doesnt suffer in quality either. Perfect black levels, contrast and gamma. Other movies also have banding etc on displays that aren't calibrated. Also preset settings usually aren't correct. Here are the screencaps:

If you guys think that George Lucas doesn't have anything to say, in regards to the packaging design, then you're mistaken. George Lucas has a majority stake in the packaging design. I'm sure that he thought the design was cool but wasn't aware of the backlash that consumers have over this type of packaging.

Is that what Jabba originally looked like in PM? I haven't watched that one in so long.

I stand corrected, mistook you for a noob

And THX mode isn't exactly a default preset. I don't even think you can tweak the settings. It's exactly the same display settings that Lucasfilms are optimizing the films for, so they should look "perfect" when viewed on a display set to THX mode.

This consumer thinks his Alien packaging is pretty sweet.

Of course, if I wore boxing gloves 24/7 or had scissors for hands I might not like it as much but - knock wood - I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I actually think Jabba looks much better in the TPM than he does in ANH.

Again.... he didn't design it. Fox likely suggested it. And the packaging does look damn nice.

But this packaging has already been used for past releases.

Are you insinuating that Lucas had the packaging designed in October of 2010.

Fox probably just approached him and said "this box is what we're using for all of our 6+ disc boxed sets" and Lucas obviously told them to go with it.

Weren't the pictures for the book pages picked by his daughter or something, not even George himself?

Yeah I totally love the digibook style cases. While they probably won't hold up as well over a long period of time I think their classiness more than makes up that. I have had zero problems with my Alien set.

I think the digibook will be great for Star Wars. The artwork on it though...

Yes, thank you for suggesting that those of us who have scratched discs as a result of sliding the discs are a bunch of clumsy baboons...

I can tell you that I for one do wear white cotton gloves and have scratched a disc because of the holders.

Obviously some dust snuck into the sleeve and scratched the movie after I replaced it in the case.

Rest assured they are all in plastic cases now.

Maybe not the structure of the box. But the pictures he did. Well, by proxy. He let his daughter Katie Lucas (who will very likely inherent the franchise and take over Lucasfilm when he dies, his son and other daughter aren't being groomed to take over as heavily as Katie is.) pick out all the package art.

Yes. Lucas' youngest daughter who appeared in the Prequels and wrote an arc of the Clone Wars picked the art.

They really wanted to do something different with the art. Not just reuse poster art or do floating head covers.

Thank god they have probably replaced that cross eyed animatronic monstrosity Yoda from Phantom Menace

http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articl...s/preview.html
Quote "I think we can safely assume that one of them will be the new all-digital Yoda in Episode I. Way back when Episode III was released on DVD, ILM digital effects supervisor Pablo Helman confirmed to me that the puppet Yoda in Episode I was replaced with a digital version to better match his appearance in Episodes II and III. In fact, the Episode III DVD extras includes a clip of the Episode I digital Yoda. However, this Blu-ray set is really the first opportunity we'll have to see it in full."
