The Australian article is interesting. Hopefully they really did touch up the Sarlaac unless the author forgot that they did that change back in 1997.
Yeah. Neither of the two articles from The Digital Bits or Home Theater Forum mention this and they were at the same event. Still holding out hope that Han shoots first.

One day you'll realize that having a life is more important than watching Star Wars. And who cares (aside from a quick look to check the PQ and AQ) whether they're watched on the first day received. I haven't even ordered them yet. I'm waiting for reputable reviews on the quality first. And even if I did, I'd probably wait until we have a giant snowstorm sometime this coming winter or for a bitterly cold day when I don't want to venture out.

Don't know how old your niece is, but my 8-year-old grandkid would have absolutely no interest in Star Wars, and especially not on her birthday, although she's a big, big fan of the Harry Potter books (we won't let her watch the films until after she's completed the books because we don't want to destroy the images that she's created in her own mind). But that won't be much longer because I think she's already finishing the fifth or sixth book.

Jeez, the nerve of your "stupid" niece to have a birthday. Now you'll have to watch these either Friday night or all day Saturday and Sunday instead.

Family sux.

What are you talking about? I am all for it ...oh yeah I meant the 16th! Thanks for pointing that out.

Anyone have any more tidbits? I am so jazzed I can hardly wait until the 16TH. We going to get an ISO score?

Cowboy, don't apologise. I'll send you a copy on the 12th from the Uk. Should have had mine delivered a couple of days before then anyway. Lol

I thought you were out now that haydens head is still sitting on sebastians shoulders.

Stop mocking, it will only end in bans.

The one thing i really do hope they have redone for the Blu-rays is the Sarlaac beak. The texturing and compositing on that looks terrible in HD.

+1

I've loved these movies for most of my life, but that's all they are - movies.

If we can't get over the fact that Greedo has been shooting first for over 14 years now, there's a problem.

I'd prefer having every version of the movies available, but I've gotten over the reality that it isn't going to happen.

The moments site beak is the same as always, unless it isn't the footage for the blu but the old transfer But that couldn't be the case

Looking forward to this release - I haven't watched any of the movies since about 2006 and decided in 2008 when I got a blu-ray player that I was going to wait for the blus to watch them again (along with Jaws and Jurassic Park).

That being said, I hope I can still get into them - I seem to remember the last time I saw them I really felt like I was too far out of the target age to love them like I used to - hopefully absence has made my heart grow fonder. To be honest the "discussion" taking place here has dampened my excitement - seeing so many big deals being made over such small things only serves to highlight just how trivial it all is. If Han not killing Greedo in cold blood (which actually feels right to me) is so bothersome, can't you just pretend it still happened that way? Is it really such a blight on your eyes to see the new scene? Just close your eyes for two ****ing seconds and imagine the old scene in your head. Christ, get a grip. All you adults acting like spoiled little brats is making me wonder if Star Wars is a bit beneath me - they were always meant to basically be for kids weren't they? I'm so glad not to be a "true fan" - maybe I'll actually be able to enjoy them...

Anyway, back to the blu - love the box art - the image of the two suns/sons looks quietly beautiful - strips away all of the spaceships and lasers and shit and reminds us that it's really just a simple story about love and redemption.

I am! For some reason or other (maybe because I was 13 at the time) it's my favorite movie of the prequels

I'm hearing a lot of clicks and thumps. I hope that's not what is going to be on the actual release.
