Yup, not to mention people know there will likely be at least 4 different releases of both trilogies so they may put off getting it for now while waiting for the specific trilogy they want and/or a price drop.

4. He's always taken awhile to release his movies on a new format, that's nothing new.
Plus, he just gave away about $1.5 billion, so he has to start getting that back. This will also be the first time all 6 films were available in one set.

As far as Indy, I hadn't heard the announcement rumors for this weekend. I'd think that lucas would've addressed Indy at the same time if it were true. Now that SW is confirmed, I just don't see Indy coming any sooner than 2012, unless it gets released this year. I highly doubt Lucas will release both Indy and SW in the same year, since they're the 2 mega franchises and the titles produced under Lucasfilm are pretty slim.

I honestlty thought that we would've seen Indy first, since it seems it's been mentioned for years and we already have KOTCS.

So we will get the old 1080p HD masters stuck on a disc and the Deleted scenes to make them sell.
I want 4k new masters struck, I will buy the first set for the Lightsaber deleted scene alone tho

That will never happen. Rob Coleman even said that Yoda in the OT won't be replaced with CGI. TPM is the only film that Yoda got a CGI make-over on.

Edit: Diesel already beat me to the punch!

I hope so. IMO, the puppet worked very well.

I am the type that is "more is better" Since I don't really mind the Special Edition I would not mind more changes in them. I have the original on Laserdisc and DVD when I feel nostalgic

It stinks we have to wait a year, but its better than not knowing when we'll get. Something to look forward too, like Christmas or a birthday (4th quarter 2011? I think I know what going to be on a lot of peoples' Christmas lists. Get ready Santa ). As nice as having both versions of the original Star Wars films would've been, the changes don't change the films that much on me. They're still some of my favorite films. Heck, I'm in the minority, thinking Greedo shooting first makes Han more of a bada$$, because his expression doesn't change even after having a freakin blast exploded where his head was a second ago. Anyway, seeing that deleted scene shows that the Blu box set is going to epic. Can't wait, even if Ahsoka shoots first (cookie to anyone who posts a video of Vader saying "NOOOOOOOOOO" on this board with the last sentence of my post quoted ).

Can't wait for this. My holy grail film series finally hitting Blu-Ray.

Glad that he's not putting the "workprint cuts" on the release. I prefer the new versions.

Hopefully the cruddy Yoda puppet from TPM is replaced with the CGI one also.

Plus if/when he finally does release the original versions, they'll probably be bare bones.

So you're gonna miss out on all the extras and deleted scenes most likely.
