I realise thattt, but I'm certain this is a new sound. In regards to not being able to tell if its Palps or Vader, it's tough, it stands out that's for sure but when someone yells their pitch is different to normal chatter, that's why I can't tell. Also it's not like it's just nooooo'ing going on in the sound mix, theres all sorts going on, so it's hard to pick out. I know my info is vague but its better than nothing.

Yes exactly, like he is disagreeing with the Emperor shocking Luke and throws him down the pit. Just listened again, and there is actually two no's, one short quiet right one, then right as he picks him up a longer more pronounced. Seems to fit well enough though.

Regardless if I had to hedge a bet, I'd say it's Vader doing the 'Nooooo'.

"Wicket's eyes are @#$%ing terrifying."

I laughed for about a minute on that one. The very idea of Ewoks evoking terror cracks me up.

Seriously?!?! They did for ROTJ!

From The Digital Bits:

"The first image is how a notorious scene in Episode VI looked after the 2004 DVD restoration. Note the dull saber blades and the dark, messy-looking digital touch-up that was used to hide the visible edge of the Emperor's make-up.."

"Now look at what's been done for the new Blu-ray release. The blades are the proper color, the blade cores are white hot once more, the overall image brightness has been restored and the digital touch-up is now invisible. "

If there's any specific scene or section you want info on, let me know, I have all 3.

emb,

That's for clearing that up. It's a change made to make the all of the films fit....it sounds as if it's placed at the right moment.

The 1000 dollar questions for me:

Any digital tweaks on Yoda?
And is there still "blue fuzz noise" around the Death Star when it explodes?
and
Any digital tweaks to Jabba and his creatures in ROTJ?

Well, at least from Emb's take on it the execution seems OK.

I guess if it works then I can roll with that

The lightsabers in ANH were obviously inconsistent due to the technology at the time. The saber's blue hue in the Millennium Falcon scene could have been effected by the multiple layers of opticals (training orb, stop-motion, blaster shots). On he widest shot with all these layers, the saber is the whitest. On the close shots of Luke, the saber is much bluer.

Here is a tough one!

On Blu-ray, will I FINALLY be able to locate that ILM dude's sneaker that was put on the motion control machine when he got fed up with the number of damn ships he needed in the ROTJ shots?!?!

I wanna find that sneaker!

LOL

Is Vader's lightsaber red or magneta in Empire duel? In the promotional vids, when he says, "it is useless to resist" the saber looked magneta, can you confirm whether it's red or not?

Also, does Greedo shoot first?

Thanks

I'm not the most knowledgeable on the OT for the record

None that I can notice on Yoda in ESB
No CGI on Jabba, not sure about the two dancing creatures before hand singing, they look pretty good actually.

Will check Death Star in a few

I think PJ said he thought it was the same as the 2004 version. They shoot almost at the same time.
