This companies quality control with these 3 movies has just been on a downward spiral since 1997.
Wow that really isn't that big of a deal.

I can't believe they said the original trilogy went through 3 steps of quality control for this release and this is the result we get. There is just no excuse for some of this stuff not being fixed.

You sir made me laugh! Bravo!
I have to admit, the blinking Ewok is not that bad. Judging from the samples that is. I have little hope that these leaked copies were work prints, it slowly dawning on me this is what to expect in two weeks.

And the Krayyt Dragon Scream now sounds like Ben putting a Tuskan Raider on fire.

Based on the past record, these are 99.9% the actual Blu-ray that are already sitting in retail stores now.

Why do people go by word of mouth? How do you even know it's true?

Well, none of this is really "that big of a deal" in the grand scheme. Pretty annoying to have them "fix" something that no one even noticed was broke, just to introduce a new (painfully obvious) error though.

It's less noticeable on the DVD (especially is that specific frame), but it's there too…

I ain't gonna lie, the Krayt sound is 100% weird. It's just...weird. But, at this point, I don't even remember what it originally sounded like so...

While it is true that it went through 3 steps of quality control, but keep in mind that it is normal for ANY film to go through these steps. Also, keep in mind that they are NOT all looking for whether the video is matching fans' wish lists, they are only looking for compression artifacts, digital hits, or other anomalies. Only people that created the master at Fox could do any changes to the movies. Once the master is approved and being sent to authoring house for compression and the so-called 3 steps quality control, it is usually too late to fix it or it would affect the street date as A LOT of discs need to be pressed. Don't expect they are above-average people that don't cram until the last minute.

If that's true about the new 'no's' for Vader then George needs committing. What the hell is wrong with him?

Forget the lightsaber. Why are the stop-motion creatures now pink?

Okay, could've done without the "No" in Return of the Jedi. But, it's definitely not recycled elements from Episode III.

It's entirely brand new. It is is what it is...

I find that whatever application I view the rips on changes the shadow balance, with VLC giving the most exposed shadow, and the most prefereable look. However I've taken alot of screens from Jedi, and what I've found is when compared to the DVD the only change seems to be gamma. Both we're viewed in VLC so no matter which way you dice it, the shadow detail will be more pronounced on this Blu-Ray release. Here's a quick comparison:

Here's some more from ROTJ:

Also Jabba's mouth seems to have a little more expression, it's subtle but a welcome tweak that makes him more emotive.

That's gotta be a joke. Lucas even did something like this in Empire SE in 1997 when he added a scream when Luke fell down that chute before wising up and removing it for the 2004 DVDs. You'd think he learned his lesson.

Just imagine that they need to have the discs ready and ship all over the world from all over the world, the discs need to be ready at least 3 or 4 weeks before street date in order to be able to be sold on the same or close date. It wouldn't surprise me if you go to local Best Buy and ask if they have BDs that's due to be released 2 weeks from now and they say yes. They can't sell you, but the products are in fact sitting in their warehouse already.
